Introducing The

FOUNDRY NATIONAL CHALLENGE

The Foundry National Challenge  is a national, high-performance hockey competition designed to bring together the adult, collegiate and Junior hockey players that are 18U+ players in a winner-take-more, results-driven environment where performance is directly rewarded with over $30,000 in prize money.

Built for players who want more than ice time, the Foundry Challenge introduces a new competitive model to hockey: Play. Win. Get Paid.

 

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

The Foundry Challenge exists to modernize how elite amateur hockey is played, marketed, and rewarded.

  • Where: Pittsburgh, PA: Palmer Ice Center, Printscape, Pittsburgh Ice Arena
  • When: May 15-17
    • Teams need to be ready to play 7am Friday and event ends by 4pm on Sunday
    • No special request will be accepted
  • Who: All hockey players aged 18 and Over.  Must be 18 by May 14, 2026
    • Note- professional hockey players not allowed: plays are not allowed to have played 3 or more professional hockey games at the SPHL, ECHL, AHL, NHL or European equivalent.
    • Teams required to submit players prior to the event and players must show ID prior at check in and may be ID at at time during the event.
  • Cost: $2000 per team entry.  Players each must complete Foundry Waivers (players receive a foundry membership)

COMPETITION MODEL

The Foundry Challenge is an Elite A Division event open to players 18U and older who have not exceeded three professional games in the SPHL,  AHL, ECHL, NHL, or European professional leagues. Rosters must be submitted prior to the event and ever player must will be verified by i.d during the event

This ensures:

  • High-level, legitimate competition
  • NCAA and amateur eligibility protection
  • A true proving ground for players on the edge of the next level 

Teams compete in a bracket-style championship format with $34,000 in prize money awarded based on results:

  • Champion – $25,000
  • Finalist – $5,000
  • Semifinalists – $2,000 each
