South Shore Kings 3 vs. Red River Spartans 1
Tucker Watkins and Olin Jackson gave the Kings a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Spartans got within one towards the end of the first on a goal by Logan Almeida, but the Kings regained their two-goal lead midway through the second on Watkins’ second goal of the game.
Springfield Pics 3 vs. Laval VC Academy 2
The Pics got on the board early in the first on a goal by Treygan Lemanski, but two minutes later Laval VC Academy evened the game at one on a tally by Matthew Santos. The score remained tied into the third when Gianluca Donato Lemme gave VC Academy a 2-1 lead. Kaiden Ames tied the game for the Pics and then Dominic Fiorentino scored a power play goal to give Springfield a 3-2 win.
Montreal Knights 5, Islanders Hockey Club 2
The Knights raced to a 3-0 lead after two periods and hung on for the 5-2 win. Zach L’Ecuyer was the start, scoring a hat trick and adding an assist for Montreal. Alesander Calandriello and Michael Furnano added goals, and Danil Muratov and Orange Green combined for 14 saves. Aiden Smith had both goals for the Islanders.
Hershey Cubs 1, Springfield Pics 0
In a spirited defensive battle, the Cubs prevailed thanks to a third period goal from Tallen Forrey. Brian Sisti stopped all 21 shots he faced for Hershey. Parker Libiszewski had 28 saves in the Springfield cage.
