Division: New England North

Location: Biddeford, ME

The CT Chiefs North enter the 2025–26 NCDC season aiming to establish themselves in the league’s New England North Division, with Head Coach and General Manager Greg Heffernan leading the program.

With a foundation of returning players and a strong group of newcomers, the Chiefs are focused on creating a culture that can carry them forward in their campaign.

“I think we have a good mix of core players who I have worked with in the past, as well as some other good character guys,” said Heffernan. “Because of that, I expect to have a good culture despite being a new team.”

At training camp, the Chiefs emphasized structure, accountability, and laying the groundwork for the season ahead.

“We will be emphasizing how we want to play as a group,” Heffernan added. “We also want to create an environment where the players can grow together. Setting the structure, expectations and tone for the season will provide us with a road map for success.”

Fans can expect a brand of hockey that is both fast-paced and hard-working, as the Chiefs aim to entertain while competing night in and night out.

“We like to play a fast-paced game, with a group that plays hard every night,” said Heffernan. “We expect our players to make plays and compete every night. I think our fans are going to enjoy coming out to support the team.”

The Chiefs will look to bring that energy and commitment to the ice as they take on the challenges of a highly competitive North Division in 2025–26.
