P.A.L Jr. Islanders
Division: Atlantic
Location: East Meadow, NY | Northwell Health Ice Center
2024–25 Regular Season Record: 36-7-6-0 | 88 points
2024–25 Postseason: Lost 5-2 in Game 5 of the Atlantic Division Finals to Mercer Chiefs
The P.A.L Islanders look to pick up right where they left off last season. After a terrific regular season, they swept their first playoff series against the Rockets Hockey Club, setting up an epic five-game series against their divisional rival Mercer Chiefs. Despite taking a 2-0 series lead, the Islanders fell in their next three just short of their goal.
With a lot of returning players and some key new faces, the Islanders are looking to build off last season’s success and take things a step further this year under head coach and GM Mike Marcou.
“I am very happy about my roster for the upcoming season,” said Marcou. “We have 10 returning players coming back this season. I am really excited about the talent and character of players coming in to join the team.”
The Islanders have found consistent success over the past several years, and they’re hoping to continue that winning trend in the season ahead.
“Our past three seasons have been very successful,” said Marcou. “We will focus on having a high standard to build off of last season. I am excited to have the returning guys coming back lead the way to develop the mindset you need to have everyday.”
The Islanders are eager to get the season underway, with hopes of continued growth and a strong focus on developing players to reach the next level.
“We are very excited to get back on the ice and get the season started,” said Marcou. “Our standard is to be the hardest working team day in and day out. We want the players to have fun and try to make plays and be creative out there. Our development model has been successful with players who move on to the USHL or college level.”
With the season fast approaching, the Islanders have all the pieces in place to make a deep run and contend at the highest level.
