2024–25 Postseason: Did not qualify

The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights are looking ahead to a rebuilding year after finishing last in the Atlantic Division a season ago and not qualifying for the playoffs.

With a young group at the forefront, head coach and GM Andy Scott knows what his team is capable of and he is excited to get the season underway to see his players live up to the challenge.

“We have a relatively young group this year whose main strength will be their total commitment to playing in the NCDC and for our club,” said Scott. “We have been very careful about selecting players who are good people first and foremost. Based on the first few days of training camp they appear eager to work hard and learn.”

This season, the Knights will boast a strong coaching staff that’s leaning into teaching fundamentals as they lay the groundwork for future success.

“Our staff all have prior professional playing and/or coaching experience,” said Scott. “From the outset, we are trying to teach and instill a professional approach to the way the players conduct their business. While teaching team structure in training camp is important, we are emphasizing the underlying fundamentals and habits that make any structure successful.”

The Knights truly believe in the team they will be putting forth on the ice every night and are ready to rise to the challenge against tough Atlantic Division opponents.

“As an organization, we are committed to the group we have assembled,” said Scott. “As such, we will focus on the process of development, which is getting better every day. We will play with an attacking mindset on both sides of the puck. I think that our discipline and structure will be important factors in any on-ice success we achieve. We will face six very strong Atlantic Division opponents a total of 48 times, so our group will be tested and pushed every game out.”

With last season in the rearview mirror, the Knights are ready to come out with a renewed focus and mindset this season.
