Hitmen and Chiefs Take it Outside at Englewood Field Club
Jersey Hitmen 5 vs. Mercer Chiefs 2 in Outdoor Game
The Jersey Hitmen earned a 5-2 win over the Mercer Chiefs in an outdoor matchup at the Englewood Field Club in Englewood, NJ. 
Mercer opened the scoring at 0:41 of the first period when Illia Biesiedin converted off assists from Chris Sarver and Kai Magyar. The Hitmen responded with back-to-back goals from David Ambuhl (PPG) at 3:50 and Jordan Laroda at 7:06 for a 2-1 lead after one.
In the second period, Ryan Shea extended the Hitmen advantage with a power-play goal at 0:28. Mercer cut the deficit to 3-2 at 16:49 on a goal by Philippe Aube, but Jersey answered nine seconds later when Derek Tremblay made it 4-2.
Eric McHale added the lone goal of the third period at 19:07 to close out the scoring.
Jersey outshot Mercer 51-47. John Gazzola made 45 saves on 47 shots for the Hitmen, while Cole Werthman stopped 46 of 50 for the Chiefs. The Hitmen went 2-for-4 on the power play; Mercer finished 0-for-3.
