Jersey Hitmen Classic: Day 3 Recap

The third day of the NCDC Jersey Hitmen Showcase came to a close. Twelve games were on show at the Ice Vault in Wayne, New Jersey. 

CT Chiefs North (4) vs. Springfield Pics (3) [OT]:  On September 13, 2025, the CT Chiefs North edged the Springfield Pics 4-3 in overtime. The Chiefs struck twice in the first with Platon Semenov (18:24) and Alexander Kharin (12:43), then added another in the second from Ryan Sikorski (6:50). Sikorski also netted the OT winner at 3:33. The Pics answered with three goals in the second from Calhan Fielder (17:49), Adam Palenik (17:03), and Adam Botlo (13:52).

South Shore Kings (5) vs. Lewiston MAINEiacs (1): The South Shore Kings rolled past the Lewiston MAINEiacs 5-1. South Shore built a 3-0 lead in the first with Brendan Keaveney (19:13), Jake Kavanagh (14:49), and William Cavanagh (4:06). Eli Heinze (15:13, 2nd) and Matt Lemay (2:19, 3rd) added insurance. Gabriel Francois (7:35, 2nd) scored the lone MAINEiacs goal.

Utica Jr. Comets (11) vs. Universel Quebec (0): The Utica Jr. Comets dominated Universel Quebec 11-0. Joshua Galizia (1:14, 1st) opened the scoring, followed by two in the second from Sean Bolin (12:55) and Lear Volt (9:23). Utica erupted for eight goals in the third: Tanner Wisniewski (17:09), Zach Groleau (14:46), Xavier Goodwin (14:33), Declan Stewart (11:58, 2:57), Dawson Pye (11:21), Galizia (10:57), and Bolin (9:28).

Worcester Railers JHC (4) vs. Woodstock NB Slammers (3) [OT]: The Worcester Railers JHC slipped past the Woodstock Slammers 4-3 in overtime. Worcester’s goals came from Cian McDonagh (16:26, 2nd), Jack Copponi (9:31, 3rd; 3:19, OT), and Braedon Gallante (5:01, 3rd). Woodstock countered with Dylan Lazaroff (9:16, 1st; 7:44, 3rd) and Jackson Shaddick (OT).

West Chester Wolves (5) vs. Islanders Hockey Club (0): The West Chester Wolves posted a 5-0 shutout over the Islanders Hockey Club. Maddox Goudie (15:18), Dallas Glenn (5:43), and Timothy Russell (4:35) staked a 3-0 first-period lead. Goudie (11:49) and Eric McHale (18:47) added third-period tallies.

P.A.L. Junior Islanders (6) vs. Boston Junior Bruins (4): The P.A.L. Junior Islanders rallied for a 6-4 win over the Boston Junior Bruins. PAL scored twice in the second with Simon Mateas (17:09) and Aiden Holland (3:29), then exploded for four in the third — Shawn Swaye (19:43), Billy Collins (15:36), Quinn Simmons (13:30), and Will Henderson (12:41). Boston’s four goals came in the second from Luke Lazzaro (19:10), Carson Myrhe (12:46), Luca DiSilvestro (8:02), and Cadeen Grettin (1:21).

Boston Dogs (10) vs. Presque Isle Frontiers (1): The Boston Dogs cruised to a 10-1 victory over the Presque Isle Frontiers. Boston scored twice in the first (Zach Rochette, 11:05; David Rainone, 9:04), added four in the second (Kayson Yu, 18:47; Hunter McCarthy, 17:30, 10:30; Illia Blesiedin, 13:28), and four in the third (Blesiedin, 13:22; Yu, 15:25; Jack Mombourquette, 5:12 x2). Braeden Ondrus (18:16, 3rd) scored for Presque Isle.

Thunder Hockey Club (4) vs. Connecticut Jr. Rangers (1): The Thunder Hockey Club defeated the Connecticut Jr. Rangers 4-1. Jakob Welch struck twice (2:57, 1st; 18:47, 3rd), while Jonathan Lee (12:08, 3rd) and Killian Wright (0:52, 3rd) also scored. Magnus Turcotte (18:42, 2nd) had the lone goal for the Rangers.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights (3) vs. Boston Jr. Rangers (2): The WBS Knights held off the Boston Jr. Rangers 3-2. Timur Naleto (14:44, 1st), Justin Zapata (14:47, 2nd), and Connor Lawrence (11:12, 2nd) scored for the Knights. Boston answered with Rhyle Shevlin (3:06, 2nd) and Owen Robitaille (7:42, 3rd).

Jersey Hitmen (6) vs. Universel Academy (1): The Jersey Hitmen powered past Universel Academy 6-1. After a scoreless first, Jersey netted three in the second — Jordan Laroda (19:50), Jack Wheaton (11:52), and Ethan Bombalski (7:33) — then three more in the third from Ryan Shea (5:24, 2:07) and Colin Norton (3:51). Anthony Roy (4:06, 2nd) scored for Universel.

Mercer Chiefs (3) vs. New York Dynamo (0): The Mercer Chiefs blanked the New York Dynamo 3-0. Michael Reed (2:27, 1st) and Emmett Auch (2:14, 1st) put Mercer ahead early, and Brent Beswick (4:11, 3rd) sealed the shutout.
