Boston Jr. Bruins forward Riley Greer is excited to announce his NCAA Division III commitment to Southern New Hampshire University for the 2026-27 season.
Greer, who hails from Daytona Beach, FL, played for the Jr. Bruins Premier team during the 2024-25 season and put up 47 points (16G, 31A) in 40 games. For the 2025-26 season, Greer transitioned to the new NCDC team and has 16 points (7G, 9A) in 29 games so far.
“This is my fourth year with the Boston Junior Bruins and the first year with the NCDC,” said Greer. “This organization has given me the opportunity to play hockey at a higher level and develop my skills as a forward. “I’ve made a lot of friends here and it was an extra bonus that I’ve had the opportunity to be a part of the NCDC.”
Greer took an instant liking to SNHU and he explained what the coaching staff really liked about his game.
“The coaches were very enthusiastic about my academic success and my love for hockey,” said Greer. “They also liked how competitive I am and how I am very much a team player.”
Greer liked the fact that the rink was right next to the campus as hockey is a top priority for him as well as academics.
“I was very happy that the rink was close by because I’m very passionate about hockey and that the school places a high priority on the GPA of their students,” said Greer.
Playing at the college level is something Greer is really looking forward to and he hopes to keep improving.
“I am going to work on keeping my head in the game and to not let a bad performance impact my game,” said Greer. “I’m looking forward to becoming the best player that I can. I want to reach a level of skill that will make me a valuable member of the SNHU team.”
The NCDC congratulates Riley Greer, his family, the Boston Jr. Bruins and Southern New Hampshire University for his commitment.
