NCDC Stars of the Week | Dec. 1-7, 2025
The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from December 1-7, 2025.Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Tomas Smetanka – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: Islanders forward Tomas Smetanka tallied 3 points in one showing last week. Smetanka netted two goals and added in an assist for the Jr. Islanders in a 5-4 OT victory.
Defenseman: Hayden Vonk – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: P.A.L. Jr. Islanders defenseman Hayden Vonk posted an assist in a 5-4 OT win for his team. Vonk has played in 16 games this season and has added 6 assists to his resume.
Goalie: Cole Werthman – Mercer Chiefs: Mercer netminder Cole Werthman backstopped the Chiefs to a perfect 2-0 weekend, allowing just three goals across more than 122 minutes of action. He posted a 1.47 GAA and a sharp .950 save percentage, highlighted by a 31-save shutout on Saturday.
Rookie: Oliver Morris – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: Rookie forward Oliver Morris had a statement game where he scored twice. Morris added a goal in regulation, then scored the game winner in overtime. Over 18 games played this season, Morris has accumulated 11 points.
Mountain Division
Forward: Colin Hazlett – Utah Outliers: Utah forward Colin Hazlett posted 3 points over 2 games. Hazlett, an Inverness, IL native, scored twice in Friday’s 5-1 win. He followed up by adding an assist on Saturday’s 3-0 shutout.
Defenseman: Will Youngberg – Ogden Mustangs: Mustangs blue-liner Will Youngberg tallied 2 points over the weekend. Youngberg found both the back of the net and his name on an assist in the Mustangs 5-2 win over Pueblo on Friday night.
Goalie: Colin Törnqvist Watson – Utah Outliers: Outliers goalie Colin Törnqvist Watson backstopped his team to a 3-0 win on Saturday night. Törnqvist Watson turned away 28 shots in the shutout victory while on the road in Grand Junction. That was Colin’s 2nd shutout of the year as he sits with a 2.03 GAA and a .935 SV%.
Rookie: Hudson Weber-Stewart – Ogden Mustangs: Mustangs rookie forward Ogden Weber-Stewart tallied 3 points in two games over the week. The Anaheim, CA native posted a goal on Friday, then a goal and an assist on Saturday’s game. Hudson has played in 11 games this season, and has totalled 12 points.
New England Division
Forward: Dominik White – Boston Jr. Bruins: Boston Jr. Bruins forward Dominik White lit up the scoresheet in just one game last week. White, a Goffstown, NH native, scored a hat-trick and dished out 3 assists for a 6 point night. White is in his first NCDC season and has appeared in 27 games, recording 23 points.
Defenseman: Patrick Dotson – Worcester Jr. Railers: Worcester defenseman Patrick Dotson had a great showing last week as he totalled 4 points in one game. Dotson, a Bronxville, NY native, added 4 assists in the Jr. Railers 7-6 OT win over the Boston Jr. Rangers. This season, Dotson has played in 24 games where he’s tallied 25 points.
Goalie: Nikolas Barnes – Boston Dogs: Nikolas Banres delivered a statement performance as he backstopped the Boston Dogs to a 5-1 win over the Boston Jr. Rangers (2nd in New England Central). Barnes stopped 28 of 29 shots, which was good for a .966 SV%.
Rookie: Filip Svoboda – Northern Cyclones: Cyclones rookie defenseman put on a show over two games last week. Svoboda started the weekend off with a 2 assist game in a 3-2 win, then followed up with a 3 points game (2 goals and 1 assists) in a Cyclones 5-2 victory.
