NCDC Stars of the Week | Feb. 23 – Mar. 1, 2026
The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from February 23 to March 1, 2026. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
ATLANTIC DIVISION
Forward: Tristan Venne – Rockets Hockey Club: Rockets HC forward Tristan Venne posted 4 points over 3 games. Venne opened the week with 2 goals in a 4-2 win, then followed up with another 2 point game (1G, 1A) on Saturday.
Defenseman: Harrison Kinne – West Chester Wolves: West Chester defender Harrison Kinne posted 2 points over 3 games. Kinne added an assist on Tuesday’s 4-3 win, then added a power play goal on Saturday’s matchup.
Goalie: John Gazzola – Jersey Hitmen: Jersey Hitmen goaltender John Gazzola turned in a standout performance on Saturday, stopping 39 of 40 shots to backstop his team to a 4-1 road victory. The Jersey netminder was sharp wire-to-wire, posting a .975 save percentage over a full 60 minutes of action.
Rookie: Jack Wheaton – Jersey Hitmen: Rookie forward Jack Wheaton recorded 3 points over 2 games. Wheaton added 2 goals, including 1 on the power-play, in a 3-2 win on Friday. He followed up with a goal in Saturday’s 4-1 win, netting another power-play goal.
MOUNTAIN DIVISION
Forward: Jimmy Zeissel – Pueblo Bulls: Bulls forward Jimmy Zeissel posted 3 points over 3 games. Zeissel had a point in each game he appeared in, netting a goal in his first showing, followed by an assist in each game after.
Defenseman: Quinten Flores – Pueblo Bulls: Pueblo defenseman Quinten Flores tallied a goal and an assist in 3 games. Flores netted a power-play goal and dished out an assist.
Goalie: James Tarabocchia – Casper Warbirds: Casper Warbirds goalie James Tarabocchia delivered a perfect performance on Saturday, turning aside all 39 shots he faced in a 1–0 shutout victory. The NCDC goaltender was dialed in from start to finish, posting a flawless 1.000 save percentage over 60 minutes.
Rookie: Jaxson Trichak – Pueblo Bulls: Pueblo rookie forward tallied 2 goals over 3 games played. Trichak posted back-to-back goals on Thursday and Friday.
NEW ENGLAND DIVISION
Forward: Tristan Frizado – Universel Academy Sherbrooke: Universel Sherbrooke forward Tristan Frizado recorded 3 points over 2 games. Frizado had a 3 point game on Tuesday with 2 goals and 1 assist. He followed up on Sunday with another 2 point game (1G, 1A).
Defenseman: Patrick Dotson – Worcester Jr. Railers: Worcester Jr. Railers defenseman put together a strong weekend adding 5 points to his resume. On Thursday, Dotson added an assist. He then followed up with a 4 point game with 2 goals and 2 assists.
Goalie: Patrick Muller – South Shore Kings: Patrick Müller stacked together a dominant two-game stretch, backstopping South Shore to a pair of decisive victories. He opened with a 29-save shutout in a 4-0 win, turning aside every shot he faced for a perfect 1.000 save percentage over 60 minutes. Müller followed it up with another poised effort the night before, stopping 20 of 22 in an 8-2 victory. Across 120 minutes of action, he posted a combined .951 save percentage.
Rookie: Jayden Carr – Universel Quebec: Rookie netminder Jayden Carr posted a shutout win for Unviersel Qubec. Carr stopped 46 shots against the New England Wolves.
