NCDC Stars of the Week | Jan. 12-18, 2026
The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from January 12-18, 2026. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
ATLANTIC DIVISION
Forward: Noah Sampson – Rockets Hockey Club: Rockets forward Noah Sampson tallied 5 points over 3 games. Sampston netted 3 goals and handed out 2 assists. Sampston’s week was highlighted by a 3 point game (1G, 2A) on Friday, then added two goals on Saturday.
Defenseman: Charles Antrilli – Mercer Chiefs: Over two games, Mercer defenseman Charles Antrilli tallied 2 points. The New Jersey native had one goal and one assist in the Chiefs 4-0 win on Friday.
Goalie: Ethan Ramonetti – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: P.A.L. Jr. Islanders netminder Ethan Ramonetti delivered a dominant three-game stretch, backstopping his team to a perfect 3-0 record while allowing just one goal in each outing. He turned aside 87 of 90 shots for an elite .967 save percentage, highlighted by a 45-save performance against the Hitmen. Ramonetti’s consistency, poise, and workload management were major factors in his team’s weekend sweep.
Rookie: Chris Sarver – Mercer Chiefs: Mercer Rookie defenseman Christopher Sarver put together a steady, composed weekend on the blue line, helping the Chiefs secure back-to-back victories. While he didn’t appear on the scoresheet, Sarver played clean, reliable minutes, closed gaps well, and contributed to a stingy defensive showing that allowed just three goals across two games, including a shutout.
MOUNTAIN DIVISION
Forward: Sami Kallionkieli – Grand Junction River Hawks: River Hawks forward Sami Kallionkieli tallied 5 points over 3 games, finding at least a point in each game. Sami kicked off the week with a 2 goal game on Thursday, followed by an assist on Friday, then closed the weekend out with a goal and an assist on Saturday.
Defenseman: Anderson Sandquist – Rock Springs Miners: Rock Springs defenseman Anderson Sandquist posted 3 points over 3 games. The Evergreen, CO native scored a goal and dished out 2 assists in a 4-2 win on Friday.
Goalie: Michael “Fuzz” Aafedt – Rock Springs Miners: Miners goaltender Micheal “Fuzz” Aafedt backstopped a perfect game in Sunday’s 6-0 victory. Aafedt turned aside all 53 Casper shots he faced, earning his first NCDC shutout of his career.
Rookie: Léon Buff- Utah Outliers: Utah Outliers rookie forward lit up the scoresheet over 3 games. Buff tallied up 7 points with 3 goals and 4 assists. He added 2 points on Monday (1G, 1A), 2 goals on Thursday, and then 3 assists on Saturday.
NEW ENGLAND DIVISION
Forward: Kellen Matushak – Northern Maine Pioneers: Kellen Matushak put together a strong four-game stretch, producing eight points and driving the Pioneers’ offense in big moments. His four-assist outing at Rock Springs showcased his playmaking, while his OT-night goal-and-assist effort helped secure a key divisional win. With goals in back-to-back outings earlier in the week, including a shorthanded marker.
Defenseman: Jacob Therrien – Utica Jr. Comets: Utica Jr. Comets defenseman Jacob Therrien made a major impact from the blue line, scoring goals in both road victories and delivering a two-goal performance in a tight 3–2 win.
Goalie: Max Pitts – Northern Cyclones: Northern Cyclones netminder Max Pitts picked up a shutout victory on Thursday. Pitts stopped all 28 shots against the New England East Division leading South Shore Kings. This season, Pitts has earned 3 shutouts and holds a .915 SV% and a 2.44 GAA.
Rookie: Ivan Milovidov – Worcester Jr. Railers: Worcester Jr. Railers rookie forward Ivan Milovidov continues to impress for the Worcester Jr. Railers, posting five points in four games and delivering offense in key moments. He recorded goals in three of the four contests, including a power-play marker and a clutch OT-night goal-and-assist outing against Utica.
