NCDC Stars of the Week | Oct. 6-12, 2025
The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from October 6-12, 2025.Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Brody Bess – West Chester Wolves: Brody Bess continued his consistent early-season production for the Wolves. The Hersey, PA native forward recorded points in all three games this week, totaling 2 goals and 2 assists. His efforts included a two-goal performance in West Chester’s 6-4 win and key assists in two other contests, helping the Wolves pick up a pair of victories in the Atlantic Division.
Defenseman: Will Henderson – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: P.A.L. Jr. Islanders blueliner Will Henderson made key contributions at both ends of the ice to help his team to a two-win weekend. The defenseman notched a goal and an assist over the two victories, including the game-winning goal in a tight 2-1 contest and an assist in a 6-2 road win.
Goaltender: Ethan Ramonetti – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: Ethan Ramonetti backstopped the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders to a perfect weekend, earning two wins while posting a stellar .950 save percentage. The netminder stopped 57 of 60 shots across the pair of victories, including a 31-save effort in a 2–1 win and a 26-save performance in a 6–2 road victory.
Rookie: Billy Collins – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: Billy Collins made a major impact for the P.A.L. Jr. Islanders this week, posting 3 goals and 1 assist for 4 points in two games. The rookie forward netted the game-winning goal in a 2–1 victory and followed it up with a two-goal and assist performance in a 6–2 win.
Mountain Division
Forward: Ben Taylor – Pueblo Bulls: Ben Taylor powered the Pueblo Bulls’ offense with a dominant showing, recording a hat trick in a 6–1 victory. The forward found the back of the net three times in that win, including a power-play goal, to help lead his team to a decisive result.
Defenseman: DJ MacLeish – Idaho Falls Spud Kings: DJ MacLeish made a major impact from the blue line for the Spud Kings, scoring two goals in a 3–2 overtime victory over Ogden. The defenseman’s offensive spark included a power-play goal to even the game, and the overtime winner, helping Idaho Falls secure a key divisional win.
Goaltender: Derek Wood – Pueblo Bulls: Derek Wood turned in a stellar performance between the pipes for the Pueblo Bulls, stopping 31 of 32 shots in a 6–1 victory. His .969 save percentage anchored the Bulls defensively and set the tone in their decisive win.
Rookie: Cooper Jacobson – Ogden Mustangs: Cooper Jacobson made an impact for the Ogden Mustangs, recording 1 goal and 1 assist in a 5–1 victory. The rookie forward has played in 9 games this season and has totalled 5 points.
New England Division
Forward: Jason Johnson – Islanders Hockey Club: Jason Johnson delivered a massive offensive performance for the Islanders Hockey Club, exploding for 5 goals and 1 assist in an 8–2 victory. The forward scored twice on the power play and was involved in six of his team’s eight tallies. Johnson has played in 11 games this season and has recorded 12 points.
Defenseman: Mo Peng – Thunder HC: Mo Peng was a force on the blue line for Thunder Hockey Club, posting 3 goals and 1 assist for 4 points over two games. The defenseman scored once and added an assist in the series opener, then followed it up with two goals, including one on the power play, to help his team earn a shootout victory. Peng has played in 9 games this season with 4 goals and 4 assists.
Goaltender: Niklas Crift – Boston Jr. Bruins: Niklas Crift was perfect in his lone appearance of the week, turning aside all 25 shots he faced to record a 2–0 shutout victory. The Manchester, NH native has played in 4 games this season where he has recorded a 1.21 GAA and .962 SV%.
Rookie: Jake Pomichter – South Shore Kings: Jake Pomichter continued his strong start to the season, scoring 3 goals in two games for the South Shore Kings. The rookie forward tallied once in a 7–3 win and added two more goals, including a power-play marker, in a narrow shootout loss. Over 8 games this season, Pomichter has accumulated 7 points with 5 goals and 2 assists.
