Key Weekend Matchups

Atlantic Division
The top divisional games this weekend include Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights at Jersey Hitmen and Mercer Chiefs at Rockets Hockey Club. The Hitmen (8-2-1) will look to continue their surge against a Knights team desperate to snap a four-game slide, while Mercer (9-3-0) and Rockets (8-3-1) meet in a clash between two of the division’s strongest contenders separated by just one point in the standings. Both games could have a major impact on the Atlantic leaderboard heading into November.

Mountain Division
The marquee series in the Mountain Division features Idaho Falls visiting Pueblo on both Friday and Saturday nights. The Spud Kings (6-3-0) and Bulls (5-3-1) are battling for third place, with one of the league’s best power plays (Pueblo) facing one of its top penalty kills (Idaho Falls). Meanwhile, Utah travels to Rock Springs in a must-win scenario to stay within range of the middle tier, as the Miners continue searching for their first win of the season.

New England Central Division
The Utica Jr. Comets travel to the New York Dynamo in the biggest New England Central matchup. Utica (9-3-1) sits tied for first with Boston, while New York (6-10-1) will look to make a statement at home. Boston Junior Bruins also have a back-to-back set against Universel Academy, giving them an opportunity to strengthen their position atop a tight divisional race.

New England East Division
The division’s spotlight game is Boston Dogs at South Shore Kings on Saturday night. South Shore (12-1-1) leads the East with 25 points, while Boston (8-6-1) sits third and looks to close the gap. South Shore has been dominant defensively, but Boston’s aggressive forecheck could make this one of the weekend’s most competitive games. Thunder Hockey Club also faces the South Shore Kings on Friday afternoon in another key test for South Shore against a capable opponent.

New England North Division
Universel Quebec and St. Stephen County Moose meet for a crucial home-and-home series, with both teams looking to climb toward second place in a tight North Division. Quebec (5-9-0) and St. Stephen (3-8-2) are separated by just two points, making this weekend a pivotal one for both clubs. Universel Quebec also visits CT Chiefs North on Saturday in another divisional matchup that could reshape the middle of the standings depending on how the weekend unfolds.
