The USPHL Premier’s Pacific and Northwest teams have once again delivered a fast-paced, highly competitive stretch of hockey over the last two days, showcasing why this western group remains one of the league’s most exciting collections of talent. With programs such as Ventura, Fresno, Lake Tahoe, Long Beach, San Diego, Bremerton, Iron County, Seattle, Henderson, McCall, Colorado, Ontario and Vernal all hitting the ice, the event spotlighted the depth, speed and skill that define junior hockey out West.

Tuesday, December 16

Ventura Vikings 8, Colorado Fighting Elk 2
Ventura broke the game open with a dominant second period, scoring four times to take full control. Calvin Ruggiero and Ethan Yang helped set the tone early, while Dominic Ybarra recorded a pair of goals. Colorado’s Eli Faries and Dominic Ybarra tallied, but the Vikings’ depth and pace proved too much.

Fresno Monsters 6, Bremerton Sockeyes 4
Fresno used a big finish to outlast Bremerton. William Lindgren scored twice and added support from Palla Xaver, Advent Lindgren, Alex Miacase and William Lindgren. Bremerton’s offense came from Anton Melodistos and Wyatt Halsey, but the Monsters closed strong in the third.

Lake Tahoe Lakers 5, McCall Smokejumpers 2
Lake Tahoe surged ahead with a three-goal first period and held steady from there. Career Alford scored twice, with Matthew Duggan, Lewis Beddow and Bryn Studeny-Amos adding goals. Weston English and Cash Sharp scored for McCall.

Ontario Jr Reign 3, Seattle Totems 1
Ontario scored once in each period for a steady 3–1 victory. Mason Welch, Jackson Tremblay and Samuel Delaguis provided the offense. Marius Arnesen scored Seattle’s lone goal.

Vernal Oilers 4, Henderson Force 1
Vernal used a two-goal third period to seal the game. Nikolas Cervenka struck twice, with Zach Baumann and Patrik Durak adding goals. Nicholas Gallagher scored for Henderson.

San Diego Sabers 3, Iron County Yeti 0
San Diego shut down the Yeti attack for a clean 3–0 win. Sam Bailey, Harris Shular and Kai Shepherd provided the scoring, while the Sabers defense held Iron County without a goal.


Wednesday, December 17

Long Beach Bombers 6, McCall Smokejumpers 3
Long Beach leaned on a four-goal second period to pull away. Steven Anderson, Trevor Godin, Corbin Breen, Jackson Littinger and Troy Smith powered the win. Kristian Halfphay and Brayden Murphy scored for McCall.

Lake Tahoe Lakers 8, Colorado Fighting Elk 0
Lake Tahoe rolled to an eight-goal performance behind a dominant offensive display. Morrice Boone and Lebron Sam each scored twice, with Andijus Simbelis, Lewis Beddow, Eric Klos and Ethan Thomas adding goals in a complete effort.

Ventura Vikings 5, Bremerton Sockeyes 1
Ventura controlled all three periods, led by Victor Lagerner Persson, Edvin Ahpetey and Joe Lawrence. Ryan Gill added a third-period tally. Dylan McNulty scored the lone Sockeyes goal.

Fresno Monsters 6, Iron County Yeti 0
Fresno earned its second straight shutout victory over Iron County. Vertti Sasaki, Alex Miacase, Brian Eiler, William Lindgren, Lodvel Moina’r and Adrian Gomez all found the back of the net in a well-balanced showing.

Vernal Oilers 2, Ontario Jr Reign 1 (OT)
A tight game needed overtime, where Krystof Socha buried the winner for Vernal. Logan Powers also scored for the Oilers. Samuel Delaguis tallied for Ontario.

Henderson Force 4, Seattle Totems 2
Reese Hicks powered Henderson with two goals, while Loud Lundahl and Aleksander Leonell added insurance in the third. Roman Wolynec and Braeden Deorun scored for Seattle.

San Diego Sabers 6, Rogue Valley Royals 2
San Diego erupted for three goals in the first and never slowed down. James Schneider, Hayden Steccaglia, Matthew Matsuda, Briar Dickson, Owen Robertson and Dean Johnson all scored. Vitaly Zagorodny and Mattias Osterberg scored for Rogue Valley.
