Premier Stars of the Week | Nov. 17-23, 2025
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Premier has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from November 17-23, 2025. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Alberta Division
Forward: Blake O’Dempsey – Three Hills Titans: Blake O’Dempsey posted 3 points in one game played. The Titans forward netted a goal and added on two assists.
Defenseman: Liraz Perrot – Three Hills Titans: Three Hills defenseman Liraz Perrot totalled 3 points in just one game played. Perrot added two goals, including one on the power-play, and dished out and assist.
Goalie: Ryan Roberts – Three Hills Titans: Titans netminder Ryan Roberts picked up a 3-1 win between the pipes. Roberts turned aside 28 shots on net in Sundays matchup which was good for a .966 SV%.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Ben Smith – Mercer Chiefs: Mercer Forward Ben Smith lit up the scoresheet, tallying for 6 points in one game played. Smith netted 4 goals and added 2 assists.
Defenseman: Ryunosuke Shirozu – West Chester Wolves: West Chester defender Ryunosuke Shirozu totalled 5 points over 2 games. Shirozu added 3 goals, two of which were on the power-play, and handed out 2 assists.
Goaltender: Jackson Taraborrelli – Hershey Cubs: Jackson Taraborrelli delivered a strong three-game stretch for Hershey. He opened with a 14-save effort in a close 2–1 loss on Nov. 22, followed by a 20-save shutout on Nov. 23 to back a 1–0 win. He capped the run with a 35-save, .946 performance on Nov. 24 in another tight 2–1 defeat. Across the three outings, he stopped 69 of 73 shots (.945 SV%).
Florida Division
Forward: Stepan Kuznets – Florida Eels: Eels forward Stephan Kuznets dished out two assists in a 4-3 win over Tampa Bay Jrs.
Defenseman: Derrick Pedersen – Florida Eels: Eels defenseman Derrick Pedersen added an assist in the Eels 4-3 win.
Goaltender: Evan Stringer – Coral Springs Jr. Cats: Coral Springs goalie Evan Stringer added a win to the season over the Typhoon. In Friday’s 5-1 final, Stringer allowed one goal off of 29 shots for a .967 SV%.
Great Lakes Division
Forward: Giovanni Valentine – Columbus Mavericks: Mavericks forward Giovanni Valentine made history becoming the first player to hit 100 points entirely with the Mavericks. Valentine tallied six points over 4 games over the week with 4 goals and 2 assists.
Defenseman: Jay Cormier – Toledo Cherokee: Toledo defender Jay Cormier tallied 6 points over 3 games. Jay netted two goals in the opening game on Saturday, then followed up with 4 assists on Sunday.
Goaltender: Kai Nelson – Columbus Mavericks: Mavericks goalie Kai Nelson was perfect over the weekend going 2-0 and only allowing 1 goal. The Nebraskan netminder opened up the weekend with a 24 shot shutout victory over the Metro Jets. Nelson then stopped 26 of 27 in a 4-1 win over the Cougars. His performance over the weekend was good for a .980 SV%.
Midwest Division
Forward: Aiden Byler – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Aiden Byler posted 3 points in 1 game. The Spacemen forward added 2 goals and 1 assist.
Defenseman: Timeo Tissot – Chicago Crush: Crush defenseman Timeo Tissot recorded 3 points over 3 games. Tissot added 1 goal and 2 assists.
Goaltender: Sumner Wood – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Fort Wayne goalie Sumner Wood picked up a win after a great performance. Wood stopped 25 of 27 shots for a 2.00 GAA and a .925 SV%.
New England Division
Forward: Ayden Zugnoni – Utica Jr. Comets: Utica forward Ayden Zugnoni tallied an outstanding 9 points over 5 games. Zugnoni scored 4 goals and added 5 assists.
Defenseman: Max Fleming – South Shore Kings: Max Fleming appeared in 4 games and added 2 assists.
Goaltender: Jacob Korte – Utica Jr. Comets: Jacob Korte put together a strong three-game stretch for the Utica Jr. Comets, posting a 2–1 record with consistently sharp play. On Friday, he stopped 16 of 17 shots in a 3–1 win to open the weekend. He followed that with another victory on Saturday, turning aside 35 of 36 shots in a 5–1 decision. Korte then wrapped the weekend with a heavy workload on Sunday, making 43 saves in a narrow 5–4 shootout loss. Across the three games, he finished with 94 saves on 100 shots (.940 SV%).
North Division
Forward: Bennet Prokop – Minnesota Squatch: Squatch forward Bennet Prokop totalled 3 points over 2 games played. Prokop posted 2 goals and 1 assist.
Defenseman: Braeden Kerr – Minnesota Squatch: Minnesota defenseman Braeden Kerr put up big numbers over 2 games. Kerr scored two goals and dished out 4 assists.
Goaltender: Peyton Anderson – Minnesota Squatch: Squatch netminder Peyton Anderson was great in net against Wisconsin Rapids winning 5-3. Anderson stopped 25 shots for a 3.00 GAA and a .880 SV%.
Northwest Division
Forward: Matej Zeman – Iron County Yeti: In just one game played, Matej Zeman posted 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists.
Defenseman: William Hagenmarck – Iron County Yeti: Yeti defenseman William Hagemarck tallied 4 points in just one game. Hagenmarck found the back of the net twice and added two assists.
Goalie: Spencer Harris – Iron County Yeti: Yet goaltender Spencer Harris picked up a win after stopped 49 shots. His play was good for a .890 SV%.
Pacific Division
Forward: Jonathan Andersen – Fresno Monsters: Fresno forward Jonathan Andersen tallied an monstrous 8 points in 3 games. Andersen scored 5 goals while adding in 3 assists.
Defenseman: Felix Palla – Fresno Monsters: Monsters defender Felix Palla added 3 assists in 3 games played.
Goalie: Noah Hammarstrom – Fresno Monsters: Hammarstrom turned in a strong weekend between the pipes for Fresno, going 2–0 while stopping 49 of 52 shots across two road wins. He earned a 20-save shutout in 39:32 minutes of relief on Friday, stepping in and slamming the door to secure a 6–3 victory. He followed that with a full 60-minute effort on Saturday, stopping 29 of 32 shots (.906 SV%) in a 9–3 win.
Southeast Division
Forward: Filipp Papshev – Charlotte Rush: Filipp Papshev had another great week totalling 9 points over 4 games. Papshev netted 5 goals and added 4 helpers.
Defenseman: Trevor Riggs – Potomac Patriots: Potomac defenseman Trevor Riggs tallied 4 points over 2 games with 1 goal and 3 assists.
Goalie: Lasse Sorensen – Charlotte Rush: Lasse Winther Sorensen went 2-0 over the weekend and combined for a 3.84 GAA, and a .975 SV% after he stopped 42 of 48 shots.
St. Lawrence Division
Forward: Jeremy Deschambault-Perron – Somang Hockey: Somang forward Jeremy Deschambault-Perron recorded 6 points in 3 games. He scored 4 goals and had 2 assists.
Defenseman: Matt Burns – Hawkesbury Knights: Defenseman Matt Burns combined for 8 points in 3 games. Burns netted 3 goals and then had 5 assists.
Goalie: Jean-Sebastian Chapleau – Montreal Black Vees: Montreal goalie Jean-Sebastian Chapleau went 2-0 over the weekend and recorded a 2.37 GAA and a .866 SV%.
