Taras Korotchenko scored the opener and Simon Eriksson struck twice as the Patriots powered to six goals. Ben Weisheyer had a pair for Charlotte, but Potomac sealed it with a strong third period.
Charleston Colonials 5, Hampton Roads Whalers 3
Nicholas Smith recorded a hat trick to lead Charleston past Hampton Roads. Dalton Greely and Robbie Rajnys tallied for the Whalers, but the Colonials’ big second period made the difference.
Universel Collège Gatineau 5, Montreal Black Vees 1
Louis Cantin started the scoring and Nicolas Barnes added two more to pace Gatineau to a decisive win. Olivier Sirois had the lone goal for the Black Vees.
Toledo Cherokee 12, Bearcat Hockey Club 1
Trevin Johnson and Cameron Krause each factored in multiple goals as Toledo erupted for 12 in a dominant effort. Frankie Cardarella had the only Bearcat tally.
Metro Jets Development Program 6, Chicago T-Rex 3
Blake Brackett and Noah Bodurka fueled the MJDP attack, each scoring in the first. Samuel Harper and Alexander Dwyer scored for T-Rex, but MJDP pulled away late.
Ventura Vikings 4, Lake Tahoe Lakers 1
Victor Langemar Persson and Ethan Yang led the Vikings with first-period goals before Griffin Gagnon added insurance. Carver Alford had the lone marker for the Lakers.
Seattle Totems 10, McCall Smokejumpers 2
Paco Mayer-Schuchard and Hugo Persson paced a relentless Seattle attack that put up double digits. Joshua Roman and Hudson Hillberg scored for McCall.
Hanna Havoc 6, Three Hills Titans 2
Daxton Lee and Carter Andrews each scored twice to carry Hanna. Michael Metcher and Nicholas Campeau replied for Three Hills, but Havoc controlled the game from start to finish.
St-Lazare Avalanche 8, New York Dynamo 1
Charleestienne Tyan and Caleb Laurie combined for early strikes as the Avalanche surged to a big win. Cameron Perras had the Dynamo goal.
Ontario Jr. Reign 7, San Diego Sabers 5
Christian Yi scored twice and added an assist as the Reign held off a late Sabers push. Austin Robinson and Dylan Skene scored for San Diego in a high-scoring battle.
Springfield Pics 10, Thunder Hockey Club 1
Caden Turgeon and Cole Davis each found the net early as Springfield rolled to a ten-goal performance. Matthew Poirier had the lone Thunder tally.
Jersey Hitmen 7, New Jersey Renegades 1
Christopher Gonzalez opened the scoring and Donovan Gretchen netted two in a strong Hitmen showing. Dante Gallucci provided the lone Renegades goal.
West Chester Wolves 4, Connecticut Jr. Rangers 2
Marcus Lunski and Logan Gee pushed the Wolves ahead with key goals in the first and second. Hubert Szarzynski and Jonathan Bergmann scored for Connecticut in a close contest.
Universel Sherbrooke 4, Kingston Wranglers 1
Beckett Meumann had two goals and Theo Trudel added another as Sherbrooke controlled the pace throughout. David Duggan scored for Kingston.
Hudson Havoc 3, Minnesota Mullets 2
Jovan Fowler Jr. scored the eventual game-winner while Cole Macdonald added insurance for Hudson. Zachary Monson and Ryan Troxell tallied for the Mullets in a tight matchup.
Elmira Impact 5, Rockets Hockey Club 3
Carter Zimmer and Nathan Riendeau scored early to set the tone for Elmira. Sean Fagan netted twice for the Rockets in a strong effort that fell just short.
Fort Wayne Spacemen 4, Chicago Crush 1
Evan Wilson’s first-period goal set the pace and Antoine Bonin added two more as the Spacemen took control. Jace Levine scored for Chicago.
Diamond Valley Rockies 6, Southern Alberta Mustangs 4
Lucas Giveen Gomes De Reis scored twice and Joey Huber added another as the Rockies outlasted Southern Alberta. Riley Watson-Croteau and Melvyn Hermann led the Mustangs offense.
