USPHL Elite Stars of the Week | Sept. 29 – Oct. 5, 2025
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Elite has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from September 29 – October 5, 2025. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Christian Hammer – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
Forward Christian Hammer added a goal in the Jr. Islanders’ most recent game. The Long Island native has totalled 6 points in 5 games this season.
Defenseman: Andrew Mervyak – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
Defenseman Andrew Mervyak has been strong on the blue-line for the Jr. Islanders this season. The West Babylon, NY native has played in 5 games and has dished out 2 assists.
Goalie: Udit Suri – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
Jr. Islanders netminder Udit Suri was tested between the pipes last weekend. The goaltender turned away 44 of the
47 shots he faced.
Florida Division
Forward: Chase Koski – Tampa Bay Juniors
Tampa Bay forward Chase Koski added five points over two games to his resume. The Fishers, IN native started the weekend off by adding a goal, then followed that performance up with a 1 goal and 3 assists night. Koski has played in 5 games this season and has recorded 9 points.
Defense: Nikita Shchevyev – Florida Eels
Eels defenseman Nikita Shchevyev posted 7 points over two games. The blue-liner added 1 goal and 3 assists for a four point game on Monday, then rolled that performance into the weekend where dished out 3 assists in the Eels 5-2 win. Nikita has played in 4 games this season and has totalled 13 points.
Goalie: Ayden Bednarek – Tampa Bay Juniors
Tampa goaltender Ayden Bednarek was fantastic over the weekend post a shutout win. The Brainard, MN native posted a 22 shot shutout victory. Bednarek is 3-0 on the year with 1 shutout, a 1.00 GAA and a .930 SV%.
Midwest Division
Forward: Rylan Wempe – Fort Wayne Spacemen
Spacemen forward Rylan Wempe put on a show on Sunday. The Alberta native posted a hat-trick and an assist on Sunday’s 6-2 win. This season, Wempe has played in 9 games and has totalled 7 points.
Defenseman: Jake Haydon – Fort Wayne Spacemen
Fort Wayne defender Jake Haydon was great over the weekend as he totalled 3 points over three games. The Three Rivers, MI native added an assist to start the weekend, followed by a goal in his second game, and then another assist in the final game of the weekend. Haydon has played in 9 games this season so far and has totalled 4 points.
Goalie: Austin Schaertel – Fort Wayne Spacemen
Spacemen goalie Austin Schaertel was a force between the pipes. The Mesa, AZ native turned away 40 of the 42 shots he faced in a 3-2 win on Saturday.
New England Division
Forward: Zachary Hannah – Northern Cyclones
In his USPHL Elite debut, forward Zachary Hannah played fantastic. The Litchfield, NH native posted a hat-trick in the Cyclones 5-1 win over the Islander HC.
Defenseman: Adriano Lisio – Montreal Knights
Knights defenseman Adriano Lisio was a force from the blue-line as he totalled 5 points in 2 games. A native of Laval, Quebec, Lisio posted 4 points with a goal and 3 assists on Saturday, then added an assist in Sunday’s game. Adriano has played in 6 games this year and has totalled 6 points.
Goalie: Orane Green – Montreal Knights
Montreal goalie Orane Green was lights out between the pipes in a 9-0 shutout win. The Laval, Quebec native stopped all 21 of the shots he faced.
Southeast Division
Forward: Nathan Andrew – Hampton Roads Whalers
Forward Nathan Andrew was fantastic on Sunday in a 3-0 Whalers win. The Cranbrook, BC native scored the game winning goal, and an assist in the game. This season Nathan has played in 8 games and has totalled 6 points.
Defenseman: Zachary Alberico – Hampton Roads Whalers
Whalers defenseman Zachary Alberico totalled 2 points over two games. A native of Collinsville, IL added an assist in Saturday’s 4-1 win, then added a goal on Sunday’s 3-0 win. This season, Alberico has played in 8 games and has combined for 6 points.
Goalie: Jean-Luc De Gaspe Beaubien – Hampton Roads Whalers
