2024–25 Postseason: Won 2025 Dineen Cup 2-1 over South Shore Kings
After an incredibly successful 2024-25 campaign which saw the Idaho Falls Spud Kings hoist the Dineen Cup in the end, they hope for more of the same this season. The Spud Kings who play out of the Mountain Division had a tremendous regular season and carried it over to their epic playoff run where they defeated the previous champion South Shore Kings 2-1. It was the program’s first ever Dineen Cup championship and the first for the Mountain Division, which is in its third year.
Head coach Anthony Bohn was named the NCDC Mountain Division Coach of the Year last season and with his roster coming together for the 2025-26 season, expect the Spud Kings to be a threat once again.
“We are excited for the upcoming season and the way our roster is shaping up to this point,” said Bohn. “Part of our philosophy in Idaho Falls is to develop the players we have coming in and build on the needs we feel we have to address.”
With the start of the season just a few weeks away, the Spud Kings are hard at work in training camp working hard each day to get better.
“For us it’s always about improving daily,” said Bohn. “Our sole focus is to continue to improve individually and collectively as a team throughout the season.”
For fans in Idaho Falls, expect another hard working group of players to take the ice each night.
“Our players love playing in Idaho Falls and feed off the excitement from our crowd,” said Bohn. “So hopefully our fans are going to see a group of players they can be proud of each night.”
The Idaho Falls Spud Kings are coming off an incredible season and are heading into this year with high hopes of duplicating their success, fueled by a stronger, more determined lineup.
