2024–25 Regular Season Record: 37-11-4-2 | 80 points

2024–25 Postseason: Lost 2-0 in Dineen Cup Championship Series

The Northern Cyclones enter the 2025–26 season looking to build on one of their strongest campaigns in recent history. A year ago, the Cyclones posted 80 points in the regular season and advanced all the way to the Dineen Cup Championship Series, where they came up just short against the Mercer Chiefs. With key returners and a deep, fast roster, Head Coach and General Manager Bill Weiland is confident his group can remain among the league’s elite.

“We should be a good skating team that can play with a lot of speed,” said Weiland. “We have some strong returners who should have a good impact for us.”

As training camp progresses, the focus has been on strengthening the defensive side of the game and matching the toughness that playoff hockey demands.

“We will need to make sure we can defend consistently and be able to play with the toughness that is needed,” Weiland added.

Fans can expect the Cyclones to continue playing with pace and intensity, a brand of hockey that has made them a perennial contender in the New England East Division.

“We are a fast, hard-to-play-against type of team,” said Weiland. “We want to play a good defensive game.”

With the sting of last spring’s finals loss still fresh, the Cyclones are hungrier than ever to finish the job and raise the Dineen Cup in 2026.
