Boston Jr. Rangers defenseman Nate Boeckle has announced his commitment to play NCAA Division III hockey at Lebanon Valley College beginning with the 2026-27 season. The Glen Allen, Va., native has posted six goals and 14 assists for 20 points in 47 games this season. He joins teammates Rory Booth and Sam Luan in committing to the Dutchmen, giving the Rangers three players headed to Annville for 2026-27.

Head coach Don Parsons made contact in late February, and the conversation quickly found its footing around what Boeckle brings on the defensive side of the puck.

“Coach Parsons reached out to me in late February. He really appreciated my simple and steady defensive game while being able to contribute here and there on the score sheet.”

The academic piece was just as strong a pull. Boeckle has his eye on a career in physical therapy, and Lebanon Valley’s doctoral program in the field checked a box that few other programs could. The home rink was a welcome bonus.

“The physical therapy doctorate program really piqued my interest academically with LVC, and the historic Hersheypark Arena where they play out of was a cool touch for the hockey side.”

Parsons, in his 14th season at LVC, has built the Dutchmen into a consistent UCHC contender since returning to NCAA Division III play in 2016-17. The Rangers pipeline to Annville is now well established.

The season in Boston left a clear mark on Boeckle’s development. He credited head coach Rich DeCaprio and assistant coach Brian Bowen for the work they put into preparing the group for the next level.

“BJR is a great organization. Coach Rich and Coach Brian did an awesome job helping us develop for the college level. We had an unreal group of guys this year too.”

Knowing Booth and Luan would be there waiting made the commitment feel like a natural extension of what the three had already built together in Boston.

“I love both of those guys and I can’t wait to play with them for another four years.”

The NCDC congratulates Nate Boeckle on his commitment to Lebanon Valley College and thanks him for his contributions to the Boston Jr. Rangers. The Rangers organization wishes Nate continued success on and off the ice.
