USPHL ELITE – SOUTHEAST SHOWCASE

CHARLOTTE RUSH 3, CORAL SPRINGS JR. CATS 2

Second half goals by Gaige Silby, Wyatt Genert and Carson Olson propelled the Rush to a 3-2 win over the Junior Cats. Darius Bilotta given the Cats a 1-0 first lead at halftime, and Zachary Lorbach scored late. Ryan Lagos had 41 saves for the Jr. Cats.

CAROLINA JR. HURRICANES 4, FLORIDA JR. BLADES 2

Hurricanes forward Liam Geyer had himself a game, scoring all four of his team’s goals in the win.  Lucas Tremblett picked up three assists and Patrick Stevens chipped in with a pair of helpers. Zeke Fields and Dylan Micozzi both scored for the Jr. Blades.

FLORIDA EELS 5, POTOMAC PATRIOTS 4 (OT)

The Florida Eels won in a dramatic comeback over the Potomac Patriots, 5-4 in overtime. Nikta Shchevyev’s goal 3:21 into overtime, his second of the day,  capped a furious rally and gave the Eels a 5-4 win over the Potomac Patriots. Paxton Campbell’s goal with just six seconds left in regulation sent the game to overtime. The Eels, who trailed 4-0 at halftime also got goals from Austin Kessel and Lybomir Anev. Potomac raced to a 4-0 first half lead with goals from Jevgeni Ivanova, Breyan Hanna, Zane Wobig and Blake McGee.

CHARLESTON COLONIALS 4, TYPHOON HOCKEY CLUB 1

Noah Cataldi, Nicholas DiGeronimo, Christian Gardner and Christian Womack each lit the lamp for the Colonials in the win. Cole Butler had 16 saves in goal. 

CAROLINA JR. HURRICANES 4, CORAL SPRINGS JR. CATS 0

Ethan Balamucki scored a pair of goals for the Jr. Hurricanes while Marc-Andre Perron and Charlie Connor also found the scoresheet. Spencer Tanner stopped all 29 he faced in goal. 

FLORIDA EELS 3, CHARLOTTE RUSH 2

The Florida Eels edged out the Rush 3-2 on goals by Noah Ellington, Gavin Meisner and Hugo Skarin to win their second game of the day. 

CHARLESTON COLONIALS 6, FLORIDA JR. BLADES 0

Jacob DuBois’ two first period goals helped lead the Colonials to a key shutout win. Jack Emling also notched a pair while Jack McCarthy and Christian Gardner added single tallies. 

 

USPHL ELITE – JERSEY HITMEN CLASSIC

CONNECTICUT JR RANGERS 3, GAMBLERS HOCKEY AAA  2 (OT)

Chase Foy’s overtime goal capped a three-goal comeback and gave the Jr. Rangers a 3-2 win over the Gamblers. Down 2-0 entering the second half, the Rangers tied it on a pair of goals from Richard Behr. Casey Sullivan and Frank Mikolajczak had staked Gamblers Hockey to a 2-0 first half lead.

DECATUR BLAZE 4, RED BANK GENERALS 3 (SO)

Matias Shelton, Sasha Zarichneyy and Jayden Cevara each scored a goal in the Blaze’s big 4-3 win. After the Generals tied the game in the second and a scoreless overtime the two teams met in a shootout where the Blaze emerged victorious. 

MONTREAL KNIGHTS 9, GAMBLERS HOCKEY AAA 2

Zach L’Ecuyer and Nicholas Panayotidis each tallied a pair of goals as the Knights took down Gamblers Hockey AAA in a big way. 

 

NON-SHOWCASE GAMES

Northern Cyclones 6 vs. South Shore Kings 0
The Northern Cyclones rolled to a commanding shutout victory behind a dominant first period. Zachary Hannah scored in the opening frame, while the Cyclones added five more goals to seal the 6-0 win.

Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 3 vs. Hershey Cubs 2
Eli Seo Jun Paek opened the scoring, and Finley Duerr’s last-second tally lifted the Knights past the Cubs in a tight contest. Aidan Blondel also found the back of the net for Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. Aleksander Yaninek and Kaelan Lauwerysen scored in the third for Hershey’s comeback bid.
