The Pueblo Bulls and the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) are pleased to announce that forward Jimmy Monks has committed to continue his academic and athletic career at Adrian College (ACHA).

A native of Wyandotte, Mich., Monks is in his third season of junior hockey and first year in the NCDC with Pueblo. The high-energy winger earned his place on the roster out of main camp and made an immediate impact, scoring twice in the Bulls’ home opener on Sept. 26. His combination of speed, physicality and competitiveness has quickly made him a key contributor.

Monks has continued to elevate his production each season at the junior level, and through his first 11 games in a Bulls uniform, he has registered 12 points (5-7–12). Before joining the NCDC, he appeared in 108 games over two seasons with the GOJHL’s Sarnia Legionnaires, located just a short drive from home. His strong foundation was built at Gabriel Richard Catholic High School, where he graduated as the program’s all-time leading scorer with 142 points in 83 games.

Adrian College, located in southern Michigan, has developed a strong hockey tradition across multiple levels. The Bulldogs feature three ACHA programs — including a Division I team that has reached three straight national championship games — in addition to a consistently successful NCAA Division III squad that has captured a national title.

Monks intends to study Crisis Management – EMT while attending Adrian.

The NCDC congratulates Jimmy and his family on this exciting next step in his hockey and academic journey.
