Games of March 4-10, 2025
Forward: Anthony Alvarado, Utica Jr Comets
Alvarado (‘04/Stockton, Calif.) had a busy weekend between March 7-9 as he put up three goals and added two assists for five points in three games. Alvarado first joined the Jr. Comets last season and for this year, he has registered 41 points in 49 games.
Defense: Brian Grant, South Shore Kings
Grant (‘04/Mansfield, Mass.) first joined the Kings from the NAHL last season and helped the team win the Dineen Cup. He’s back with hopes of a repeat in the upcoming playoffs, especially shown by his recent performance of three assists in two games. He has 24 points in 50 games so far this season.
Goaltender: Brandon Golub, Seacoast Spartans
Golub (‘04/North Brunswick, N.J.) was huge in helping the Spartans defeat the Islanders Hockey Club with 72 saves on 74 shots in a single outing on March 8. He stands with three victories this season.
Rookie: Samuel Lussier, Utica Jr. Comets
Lussier (‘07/St-Michel, Que.) scored two goals and added two assists for four points during the Jr. Comets’ three-game series against the Worcester Railers JHC. He has 34 points in 47 games this season.
Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
