NCDC New England Division Players Of The Week: March 26

Games of March 18-23, 2025

Forward: Anthony Alvarado, Utica Jr. Comets 

Alvarado (‘04/Stockton, Calif.) finished the season with 11 points over each of his final eight games, which included a goal and three assists for four points in two games against the Boston Jr. Rangers. He closed out the season with 47 points in 52 games. 

 

Defense: Andrew Toomey, Boston Jr. Rangers 

Toomey (‘05/Medford, Mass.) registered three assists to close the Jr. Rangers’ first season in the NCDC. He closed with 19 points in 41 games as a second-year NCDC veteran who now has 80 games under his belt. He recently committed to Assumption College. 

 

Goaltender: Logan Abric, Northern Cyclones 

Abric (‘04/Hayward, Wis.) stopped all 23 shots he faced for a shutout to close his final NCDC regular season. Over three seasons, he finished with a 34-20-6-1 record, with 21 of those wins coming this year. His career save percentage was .919, including a .923 mark for this year. 

 

Rookie: Samuel Lussier, Utica Jr. Comets   

Lussier (‘07/St-Michel, Que.) scored two goals and added three assists to finish his first NCDC season with a 20-20-40 line in 53 games. 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
