NCDC Players of the Week

The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) has announced its Atlantic, Mountain, and New England Division Players of the Week, recognizing standout performances from September 15–21, 2025. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Atlantic Division:
Forward: Jakub Kristek – Rockets Hockey Club
Rockets forward Jakub Kristek (’07) delivered in both games of the weekend sweep over Wilkes-Barre. The Mlada Boleslav, Czech Republic native scored in Friday’s 4-3 shootout win, then opened the scoring in Saturday’s 4-1 victory. Through five games this season, Kristek has totaled four points.
Defense: Hayden Pouliot – Rockets Hockey Club
Rockets defenseman Hayden Pouliot (’07) played a key role in the team’s two-game sweep. The Sainte-Marie, Quebec native registered an assist in Friday’s matchup, then added a power-play goal on Saturday. Pouliot now has four points (2g, 2a) in five games this season.
Goaltender: Jakub Sirhal – Rockets Hockey Club
Rockets netminder Jakub Sirhal (’07) stayed perfect on the year with two more wins against Wilkes-Barre. The Slovakia native turned aside 51 of 54 shots in Friday’s shootout victory, finishing with a .944 save percentage. He followed that with a 23-save, one-goal effort on Saturday for a .958 save percentage. Sirhal enters the week with a 2.18 GAA and .933 save percentage on the season.
Rookie: Jacksen Suttie – West Chester Wolves
West Chester Wolves Rookie Defenseman Jacksen Suttie (‘08) played a major role in this third ever game in the NCDC. The Kelowna, BC native added two assists in the Wolves 5-2 victory over the Connecticut Jr. Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
Mountain Division:
Forward: Logan Lambrecht – Ogden Mustangs
Ogden forward Logan Lambrecht (’06) was a difference-maker in the Mustangs’ sweep of Casper, collecting three points across the two-game set. In Friday’s 6-1 win, the Williston, VT native scored a power-play goal and added an assist for a two-point performance. He followed it up on Saturday by burying the overtime winner in a 2-1 victory. Lambrecht now has five points through four games this season.
Defense: Will Youngberg – Ogden Mustangs
Mustangs blueliner William “Will” Youngberg (’07) contributed on both nights of the weekend sweep, recording an assist in each contest. The Shakopee, MN product played a key role in Saturday’s 2-1 OT win, setting up the game-winning goal.
Goaltender: Merik Grinaker – Ogden Mustangs
Goaltender Merik Grinaker (’06) earned his first win of the season with a stellar performance in Saturday’s 2-1 overtime victory. The Fargo, ND native turned aside 42 shots over 64 minutes of action, finishing with a .977 save percentage.
Rookie: Liam Sheward – Ogden Mustangs
Rookie forward Liam Sheward (’06) made a strong impact in Friday’s 6-1 win, scoring twice for his first multi-goal game of the season. The Gladwyne, PA native netted the Mustangs’ opening tally in the first period and struck again early in the third. Sheward has three points through four games this year.
New England Division:
Forward: Anders Morrison – Thunder Hockey Club
Thunder forward Anders Morrison (’06) showcased his scoring touch on Saturday night, collecting three points in the contest. The Lafayette, CO native recorded his first career goal, added another tally, and chipped in an assist. Morrison now has three points through five games this season.
Defense: Kaden Armstrong – Thunder Hockey Club
Blueliner Kaden Armstrong (’06) was a bright spot for the Thunder over the weekend, putting up four points in two games. The California native scored his first goal of the season and added an assist in Friday’s 4-2 loss to Universel Academy. He matched that effort the next night with another two-point performance in a 7-5 setback. Armstrong has totaled two goals and four assists in five games this year.
Goaltender: Daniel Dmitrievsky – Islanders Hockey Club
Islanders goaltender Daniel Dmitrievsky (’06) was unbeatable in net, posting a 23-save shutout in a 9-0 win over Lewiston. The Washington Township, NJ native now has two shutouts on the season and carries a 3-1 record with a 1.58 goals-against average and .934 save percentage.
Rookie: Eli Heinze – South Shore Kings
South Shore rookie forward Eli Heinze (’05) continued to impress with a goal in each of his two appearances last week. The Santa Barbara, CA product opened the scoring in Wednesday’s 3-2 win, then netted the game-winner in another 3-2 victory on Saturday. Heinze has three goals through his first five games of the season.
