USPHL Elite Stars of the Month: February

SOTM Elite

The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Elite has announced its Stars of the Month, recognizing standout performances from February. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.

 

ATLANTIC DIVISION

Forward: Ethan Finlay – Atlanta Mad Hatters: Ethan Finlay powered the Mad Hatters offense throughout February, posting 16 points in 10 games with 11 goals and five assists. His scoring touch led Atlanta during the month, highlighted by an impressive goal-per-game pace.

Defenseman: Brett Spiers – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders: Brett Spiers produced offensively from the blue line in February, recording 10 points in just seven games. The defenseman scored seven goals and added three assists, including a power play tally and a game-winning goal.

Goalie: Andrew Barkoot – Connecticut Junior Rangers: Andrew Barkoot was outstanding between the pipes, going a perfect 3-0-0 in February. He posted a .958 save percentage and a 1.41 goals-against average while stopping 93 of 97 shots.

 

FLORIDA DIVISION

Forward: Dylan Micozzi – Florida Junior Blades: Dylan Micozzi was a key offensive contributor for the Junior Blades, registering 16 points in eight games. He recorded four goals and 12 assists while also contributing on special teams with two power-play goals and a shorthanded marker.

Defenseman: Michael Rozenblat – Coral Springs Jr. Cats: Michael Rozenblat led Coral Springs defensemen offensively during the month with 13 points in eight games. The blueliner recorded three goals and 10 assists to drive the Jr. Cats’ attack from the back end.

Goalie: Brody Patton – Florida Junior Blades: Brody Patton anchored the Florida crease with a strong February performance, posting a 3-0-0 record in seven appearances. He recorded a .929 save percentage and 2.16 goals-against average while earning one shutout.

 

MIDWEST DIVISION

Forward: Niko Dougan – Chicago Crush: Niko Dougan delivered consistent production for the Crush in February, tallying 12 points in eight games. His stat line included five goals and seven assists, with two shorthanded goals highlighting his impact in all situations.

Defenseman: Ramsey Paullo – Chicago T-Rex: Ramsey Paullo had a remarkable offensive month from the blue line, scoring nine goals and adding five assists for 14 points in eight games. Three of his goals stood as game-winners for his club.

Goalie: Austin Schaertel – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Austin Schaertel posted one of the strongest goaltending months in the division, finishing February with a .968 save percentage and a 0.94 goals-against average. The Spacemen netminder went 2-1-0 and recorded a shutout.

 

NEW ENGLAND DIVISION

Forward: Alessandro Calandriello – Montreal Knights: Alessandro Calandriello led all Elite skaters in February scoring with an impressive 28 points in 10 games. The Montreal forward recorded four goals and 24 assists while consistently driving the Knights’ high-powered offense.

Defenseman: Adriano Lisio – Montreal Knights: Adriano Lisio was a dominant offensive force on the Montreal blue line, producing 19 points in 10 games. He finished the month with five goals and 14 assists, including three power-play goals.

Goalie: Daniel Muratov – Montreal Knights: Daniel Muratov was nearly unbeatable in February, going 6-0-0 while posting a .931 save percentage and 1.72 goals-against average. He also recorded a shutout during the month to help power the Knights’ success.

 

SOUTHEAST DIVISION

Forward: Ethan Balamucki – Carolina Junior Hurricanes: Ethan Balamucki was a key offensive contributor for Carolina in February, scoring seven goals and adding eight assists for 15 points in just seven games. Three of his goals came on the power play, and he added two game-winning goals.

Defenseman: Blaine Heden – Potomac Patriots: Blaine Heden provided steady production from the blue line for the Patriots, recording seven points in seven games. The defenseman finished the month with three goals and four assists.

Goalie: Cameron Duda – Charlotte Rush: Cameron Duda delivered a strong month in net for the Rush, posting a .935 save percentage and a 1.99 goals-against average across eight appearances. He finished February with a 2-1-0 record while stopping 129 shots.
