The votes came in and Siamion Marshchanok has won a USPHL Fans Choice award for a second straight year. After being named the USPHL Premier Fans Choice MVP for 2023-24, he is now the NCDC Fans Choice Forward Of The Year. The people have spoken – twice! Marshchanok was also voted in by the coaches as the NCDC Mountain Division Forward Of The Year in the spring.
“I am very proud of myself that I was able to achieve such results at the moment and I am grateful to everyone who voted for me,” said Marshchanok, a 2005-born native of Minsk, Belarus. “I appreciate every vote and I hope that everyone who watched for me really liked my game and how I proved it on the ice.”
He certainly proved his worth, scoring a league-best 75 points in 51 games for the Bulls. This came one year after he posted 112 points in 41 games for the Potomac Patriots. He continues to elevate his game, having great success at both levels already.
“I think that one of the key moments was, to some extent, self-confidence, that I can do it and show it,” said Marshchanok. “I will say that the start was not as productive as the second half, but I am glad that I was able to find a way out of this, rethink something in my game and do it.
“Overall, I think that the trust from the coaches and partners played a very important role in the team’s success and my success, and I understood that NCDC was a new level and a test for me to show whether I was really ready for this moment and to show the same game and even better when I played in the USPHL Premier,” he added.
Without a season going on right now, Marshchanok has plenty of time to work on and improve his game and his overall training.
“I think the most important thing I need to work on is speed, understanding the game and smart actions on the ice,” added Marshchanok. “I try to work on everything I have to improve my hockey qualities, thanks to which I can show good hockey. I devote a lot of time to my body and preparation for the next stage in my hockey life and my goal is D1 and professional hockey.”
The NCDC congratulates Siamion Marshchanok on winning his Fans Choice Award.
