The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) and National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) are proud to recognize several alumni who represented their countries at the 2026 IIHF Men’s World Championship, held from May 15-31 in Switzerland.

The annual tournament, hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), features many of the top professional and international players from around the world for international competition.

Among this year’s participants was former Boston Jr. Bruins forward Jacob Schmidt-Svejstrup, who represented Denmark at the tournament. Schmidt-Svejstrup played in the USPHL during the 2015-16 season before advancing to NCAA Division I hockey at both the University of Maine and Clarkson University.

Representing Great Britain were former USPHL and NCDC standouts Logan Neilson and Bradley Jenion. Neilson played in the NCDC during the 2021-22 season with both the Jersey Hitmen and Northern Cyclones and currently skates professionally for the Fife Flyers of the Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL). Jenion, a defenseman, played for the South Shore Kings during the 2017-18 USPHL season before continuing his career at Trine University. He currently plays professionally for the Manchester Storm of the EIHL.

Italy’s roster also featured former NCDC defenseman Gregorio Gios, who developed with both the New Hampshire Jr. Monarchs and South Shore Kings from 2018-20. Gios currently plays professionally for Asiago in Italy.

The USPHL and NCDC congratulate Jacob, Logan, Bradley, and Gregorio on representing their countries at the 2026 IIHF Men’s World Championship.
