Back For More: NJ Renegades’ Anthony Tokar

The United States Premier Hockey League’s (USPHL) Back For More series highlights returning players who are continuing their development and building on the progress they made during the previous season. Whether they’re stepping into bigger roles, chasing new opportunities or taking another step toward college hockey, these players are back for more in 2026-27.
One of those players is NJ Renegades forward Anthony Tokar, who returns for his second season with the organization after an encouraging first year of junior hockey. In his rookie campaign, Tokar recorded 5 goals and 12 assists in 43 USPHL Premier games while steadily earning a larger role within the Renegades’ lineup.
Tokar also proved to be one of New Jersey’s most versatile players, seeing time at all three forward positions and even filling in on defense when needed. As the season progressed, he became more comfortable with the pace and physicality of junior hockey while continuing to expand his responsibilities.
Head Coach Cliff Graziano expects Tokar to take another step this season as one of the Renegades’ top forwards and leaders.
“Anthony is a good kid that needed some quality coaching at the junior level,” said Graziano. “He got faster, played more physical as the season went on and we expect he’ll do well in Year 2.”
Graziano believes Tokar’s progression is a strong example of the USPHL Premier development pathway. After beginning last season in a depth role, Tokar learned what it takes to compete at the junior level and earned increased responsibility through his work ethic and commitment to improving every day.
Now entering his second season with the Renegades, Tokar returns with valuable experience and the opportunity to continue his development while taking on an even bigger role during the 2026-27 season.
