Coral Springs Jr. Cats 7 vs. Florida Junior Blades 3: The Coral Springs Jr. Cats exploded offensively in a 7-3 win over the Florida Junior Blades on Friday at Hertz Arena. After a 1-1 first period, the Jr. Cats broke the game open with four goals in the second. Darius Bilotta led the charge with a hat trick, scoring twice in the second period and adding another early in the third. Jackson Buchanan opened the scoring for Coral Springs, while Ryan Lagos and Reese Jackson also found the back of the net. For Florida, Zeke Fields struck late in the first to even things up, and Dylan Micozzi added two in the second, but the Blades were shut down in the final frame. The Jr. Cats made the most of their chances, converting three times on the power play despite being outshot 34-22.
Hersey Cubs 4 vs. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 2: The Hershey Cubs earned a 4-2 victory over the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Knights on Friday at Revolution Ice Centre. Keaton Flint led the way with two goals, opening the scoring in the first period and striking again late in the second. Ian Martin added what proved to be the game-winner early in the second, while Landon Woolley sealed the win with a late third-period tally. For the Knights, Nico Capriotti tied the game in the first, and Camden Adams pulled them within one midway through the second, but they couldn’t break through in the third. Both teams had power-play chances, but Hershey went 0-for-5 while Wilkes-Barre managed one goal on four opportunities.
Montreal Knights 6 vs. South Shore Kings 0: The Montreal Knights turned in a dominant performance Friday in Foxboro, shutting out the South Shore Kings 6-0. Despite being outshot 46-18, the Knights made their chances count, striking once in the first, twice in the second, and pouring in three more goals in the final frame. Zack L’Ecuyer opened the scoring late in the first before Nicholas Panayotidis and Alessandro Calandriello extended the lead in the second. In the third, Montreal pulled away with goals from Pietro Omobono, Calandriello—his second of the night—and Bryan Koreki. The Knights were sharp on the power play, going 2-for-3, while the Kings failed to convert on either of their man-advantage opportunities. Behind strong goaltending and opportunistic finishing, Montreal secured a convincing road win and blanked South Shore in decisive fashion.
