Jersey Hitmen Classic Finals
GAMBLERS HOCKEY AAA 3, P.A.L JR ISLANDERS 2
Derek Wetzel’s second goal of the game gave the Gamblers Hockey AAA a big 3-2 win over the P.A.L Jr. Islanders. Cruze Campbell also scored and Wyatt Amm had 36 saves in between the pipes.
MONTREAL KNIGHTS 5, DECATUR BLAZE 1
The Knights had five different goal-scorers in their win on goals by Michael Funaro, Georgios Katsifolis, Alessandro Calandriello, Zack L’Ecuyer and Pietro Omobono.
RED BANK GENERALS 4, CONNECUTICUT JR. RANGERS 1
The Red Bank Generals took down the Jr. Rangers on goals from Christopher Goodwin, Alex Kloor, William Gluden and Cole Pluck while Jack Nahf had 16 saves in goal.
DECATUR BLAZE 6, CONNECUTICUT JR. RANGERS 1
The Blaze got back in the win column in a big way on a four-goal game by Daniel Zlochevsky. Matias Shelton and Sasha Zarichneyy also scored.
MONTREAL KNIGHTS 4, P.A.L JR. ISLANDERS 3
The Knights earn their second win of the day with a hard fought 4-3 win over the Jr. Islanders. Zack L’Ecuyer continued his strong showcase play with two more goals. Andy Marques and Nicholas Panoyotidis also found the scoresheet in the big win.
Elite Southeast Showcase Finals
FLORIDA EELS 2, HAMPTON ROADS WHALERS 0
Stuart Heckathorn was the man of the morning for the Eels, making an impressive 38 saves to backstop this shutout win. Brantlee Hoffman and Paxton Campbell lit the lamp for Florida.
CAROLINA JR. HURRICANES 7, TYPHOON HOCKEY CLUB 1
The Jr. Hurricanes rolled behind the two-goal performances of Ethan Balamucki, Benjamin Shramek and Patrick Stevens.
HAMPTON ROADS WHALERS 5, FLORIDA JR. BLADES 1
Eric Kloss had two goals and Logan Crowder chipped in with a goal and two assists to power the Whalers. Brandon Tough and Nathan Andrew also scored, while Zeke Fields had the lone Jr. Blades tally.
CORAL SPRINGS JR CATS 4, POTOMAC PATRIOTS 0
Darius Bilotta, Brandon Jones, Reese Jackson and Michael Rozenblat each had a goal and Aiden Barraza stopped all 27 shots he saw as the Jr. Cats won in a shutout.
TAMPA BAY JRS 5, CHARLESTON COLONIALS 4
Down 4-0 at halftime, Tampa Bay scored five unanswered second half goals to stun the Colonials 5-4. Ethan Palso was the hero for TB, scoring his team’s final three goals. Chandler Moore (2 assists) and Tanner Vance also had goals. Jack Emling, Anthony Marasco, Peyton Howard and Cooper Angeletti staked Charleston to that 4-0 lead.
CHARLOTTE RUSH 4, TYPHOON HOCKEY CLUB 1
Ian Weber had two goals, and Wyatt Gernert and Cody Galin a goal apiece as the Rush cruised to this win, limiting the Typhoon Hockey Club to just eight shots on goal. William Erhart tallied for THC.
NON-SHOWCASE FINALS
Northern Cyclones 2, Springfield Pics 1
The Northern Cyclones picked up a tight 2-1 victory over the Springfield Pics at Cyclones Arena. Zachary Hannah and Jason Moore each scored in the opening period to give the Cyclones the edge. Jaroslav Hrablik scored for Springfield early, but the Cyclones held firm behind strong defense and steady goaltending to secure the win.
Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights 9, Atlanta Mad Hatters 1
The Knights erupted for nine goals in a commanding victory over the Mad Hatters. Colin Evans and Zaidi Mobegi each scored twice, while Johnathan Yeates, Joey Henion, Jedidiah McNeal, Francis Gauvin, and Camden Adams also found the net. Marek Klos tallied the lone goal for Atlanta as Wilkes-Barre/Scranton controlled the pace from start to finish.
