The National Collegiate Development Conference congratulates all of the members of the New England All-Division Second Team. The New England Division have two All-Division teams due to including eight or more teams (nine in 2024-25). The All-Division selections were voted in by the division’s coaches.
Forwards
Jake Kavanagh, South Shore Kings
Kavanagh (‘05/Montreal, Que.) finished his second successful season with 17 goals and 37 assists for 54 points, putting him into the Top 20 overall in the NCDC. A 2023-24 Dineen Cup Champion who returned to the Kings, Kavanagh finished in a tie for eighth in assists with 37 this year. Kavanagh also passed former King Chikara Hanzawa to become the Kings’ all-time leading scorer in the regular season and the first to pass the century mark with 104 points in 104 games. He also registered 18 points in 23 career playoff games (including two Dineen Cup finals), and is tied for first in that category with former King Kotaro Murase.
Hunter Bruce, South Shore Kings
Another two-year King who helped his team to the 2024 Dineen Cup Championship and the 2025 Final, Bruce (‘05/Dartmouth, N.S.) finished with 22 goals and 27 assists for 49 points in 51 games and was a heart-and-soul player for the team. He stands sixth in Kings history with 74 points in 101 games, which is third-most in team history. Bruce is bound for the University of New England next season.
Michael Markowski, Northern Cyclones
Markowski (‘04/Spring Lake, N.J.) was named the New England Division Defensive Forward Of The Year, which is a perfect indicator of his sharp two-way game. In helping the Cyclones to win the New England Division Championship and reach the Dineen Cup Championship series, the second-year Cyclone scored 27 goals and 52 points in 54. He added eight points in their 10 playoff games. With 90 points in 105 career regular season games, he is No. 3 on the Cyclones’ all-time points list. He will start his NCAA career this fall at St. John Fisher University.
Defensemen
Gregor Jennersjo, South Shore Kings
Jennersjo (‘04/Ekero, Sweden) skated in his sixth North American season and his first with the Kings, making an immediate impact with the Foxboro, Mass.-based team. With six goals and 39 assists, his 45 points ranked third among NCDC defensemen this past season. He stands second among all-time Kings NCDC defensemen in single season scoring.
Ricky Volpe, Utica Jr. Comets
Volpe (‘04/Commack, N.Y.) completed his third NCDC season and second with the Utica Jr. Comets with a fantastic finish, coming across with 37 points, very nearly tripling his previous best of 2023-24 from his first season in the league. Volpe crossed the 100-game mark this year, with 106 total regular season games and he added nine playoff games to that total. Volpe is committed to Bowdoin College to begin his NCAA hockey career this fall.
Goaltender
Paul Dalessio, Northern Cyclones
Dalessio (‘05/Burlington, Mass.), a second-year Cyclone who is committed to Nazareth University, was a top five goaltender in the NCDC in two of the major categories. He finished fifth (among goaltenders with 18 or more games played) in both goals against average at 2.20 and save percentage at .934. Dalessio leads all-time NCDC Cyclones goaltenders in career save percentage at .928, and he is second in games played (50) and wins (24).
