Season Awards

The National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) has announced its 2025-26 Season Performance Award winners, recognizing the top Forward, Defenseman, and Goaltender across the league. Noah Jimbo of the Worcester Jr. Railers (Forward), DJ Macleish of the Idaho Falls Spud Kings (Defenseman), and Ethan Ramonetti of the P.A.L. Junior Islanders (Goaltender) were selected as this season’s top performers. Each award winner will receive $5,000 through the USPHL Performance Payout Program, for a total of $15,000 in Season Performance Awards.

The selections were determined by a panel of independent media members.

Forward of the Year – Noah Jimbo (Worcester Jr. Railers)

Noah Jimbo was named the NCDC Forward of the Year following an outstanding rookie campaign. The Worcester Jr. Railers forward recorded 63 points (24 goals, 39 assists) in 51 games, serving as a consistent offensive driver throughout the regular season.

“Noah is a special player. His most important skill is his brain — he’s a thinker who can make plays at a high level, while also being a dynamic, explosive playmaker,” said Head Coach Sean Bertoni.

Jimbo’s ability to produce at an elite level while contributing in all situations made him one of the league’s most impactful players and a deserving recipient of the NCDC Forward of the Year award.

Defenseman of the Year – DJ Macleish (Idaho Falls Spud Kings)

DJ Macleish put together an outstanding season on the blue line for the Idaho Falls Spud Kings, recording 52 points (21 goals, 31 assists) in 53 games. Finishing second among NCDC defensemen in scoring, Macleish was a major offensive contributor while logging significant minutes on the back end.

“Our organization can’t be prouder of DJ for this accomplishment,” said Head Coach Anthony Bohn. “He has been a staple for our organization for the last three years and has not disappointed during his time in Idaho Falls. He is a leader for us; his on-ice production speaks for itself, and he’s been an active member of the community. He bleeds Spud Kings colors, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for DJ. He’s more than just a high-end player for us; he’s family. He’s an even better person and will be missed as he moves on to college hockey and beyond.”

Macleish’s ability to generate offense from the blue line while maintaining a strong presence in all situations made him one of the league’s most impactful defensemen and a deserving selection as NCDC Defenseman of the Year.

Goaltender of the Year – Ethan Ramonetti (P.A.L. Junior Islanders)

Ethan Ramonetti delivered a standout season in net for the P.A.L. Junior Islanders, posting a 29-10-3 record in 43 games, along with a 1.84 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage. A steady and reliable presence, Ramonetti played a key role in P.A.L.’s success throughout the regular season.

“We are very proud of Ethan to receive this award,” said Head Coach Mike Marcou. “Not a lot of people see all of the hard work and dedication he puts in behind the scenes. Ethan strives to be his best every day, and it’s contagious in our locker room. He has been such a strong leader and a clutch goalie for us this season.”

Ramonetti’s ability to control games and deliver in high-pressure situations made him one of the league’s top goaltenders and a deserving selection as NCDC Goaltender of the Year.
