Back For More: Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones’ Nathan Bossola

The United States Premier Hockey League’s Back For More series highlights returning players who are continuing their development and building on the progress they made during the previous season. Whether they’re stepping into bigger roles, chasing new opportunities or taking another step toward college hockey, these players are back for more in 2026-27.

One of those players is Cincinnati Jr. Cyclones defenseman Nathan Bossola, who returns for his third season with the organization after continuing to elevate his game during the 2025-26 season. Bossola finished the year with 4 goals and 19 assists for 23 points in 44 games.

Head Coach Lee Lansdowne expects Bossola to once again anchor the Cyclones’ blue line, serving as a leader on and off the ice while matching up against the opposition’s top forwards and contributing in all situations.

“Nathan’s every coach’s dream player,” said Lansdowne. “A great person, leader and hockey player. He shows up wanting to get better each day while leading by example and challenging his teammates and enjoying the process. His positive attitude and top-end skill set are contagious within the group, and looking at how far Nathan has grown over the last two seasons, we can’t wait to see what Season 3 brings for Nathan.”

Lansdowne believes Bossola’s journey is a perfect example of the USPHL Premier development pathway. Arriving as a solid young defenseman, Bossola embraced the demands of junior hockey, expanded his offensive game while continuing to excel defensively, and developed into a true top-pair blueliner through his commitment to the process.

Now entering his third season with the Cyclones, Bossola returns as one of the team’s veteran leaders, looking to continue his development while helping guide Cincinnati’s next generation of players—including his younger brother, Xavier, who joins the organization for his rookie season.
