One level. One agreement.

NCDC and Premier are separate opportunities.

Each level requires a separate player agreement. A player may knowingly commit to an organization at both levels by signing separate agreements. An NCDC agreement alone does not commit a player to Premier.

02

Know your scholarship status.

Get the details in writing.

Ask whether the organization is full or partial scholarship; whether you are a designated full-scholarship player; whether your status was reported to the League; and exactly what the opportunity includes.

03

Understand your options.

A Premier opportunity is your choice.

An NCDC-only agreement does not automatically commit a player to Premier. After an NCDC release, accepting a Premier opportunity is the player’s choice unless a separate, fully disclosed Premier agreement was previously signed.

Ten questions every player should ask.

A strong junior hockey decision starts with clear answers in writing.

  4. 04

Is the NCDC organization full scholarship or partial scholarship?

  5. 05

  6. 06

What is my complete financial obligation?

  7. 07

What happens to my deposit under each possible roster outcome?

  8. 08

Which equipment do I own, and which items must be returned?

  9. 09

What happens if I am released or traded?

  10. 10

Do I have a copy of every agreement and commitment?
