Dylan Reynolds is excited to take what he has learned over three years with the Islanders Hockey Club, and apply all of it to college success with the Saint Anselm College Hawks in 2025-26.

The Saint Anselm Hawks play in the Northeast-10 Conference, the nation’s only Division II NCAA conference in college hockey.

“I first started talking to Coach Rocha in my first year of juniors. My brother [Chase] was a sophomore at Saint Anselm. [Rocha] continued to develop more interest as he attended more and more games throughout my junior career. He liked my competitive and physical 200-foot game as well as my ability to finish pucks around the net,” said Reynolds, a native of Middletown, Conn.

Saint Anselm College is located in Goffstown, N.H., not far from the state’s largest city Manchester. The Catholic college’s teams are known as the Hawks and play in the Northeast-10 Conference, the only NCAA Division II hockey conference in the U.S.

“Saint Anselm has endless opportunities to thrive in a great community, both academically and athletically. The business program at Saint Anselm will provide me with all the tools I need to be successful when I graduate,” he said. “The tradition of the hockey program and the state of the art facilities made my decision easy when choosing what best fit me as a player.”

Reynolds first began playing for the Islanders Hockey Club in 2022-23, and he would ultimately become the all-time leader in goals for the IHC, with 54 over his career. His 114 points in 109 games are second only to teammate Jack Roberts, a Manhattanville University recruit.

“The Islanders Hockey Club has already solidified itself as one of the best programs in the country, which is why I wanted to be a part of it. Coach Jay Punsky recruited me from the National Championships in California. As the first few weeks of my rookie season went by, he encouraged me to trust his process as he wanted to develop me for my three years of junior eligibility,” said Reynolds.
“Every coach in this program puts in the extra time and effort, which is proven with the results,” said Punsky.

“The USPHL, especially in the New England Division, provides players with the opportunity to showcase talent in front of coaches on a nightly basis while developing every detail of their game in practice. The best part about the Islanders Hockey Club is the ability to play at all three levels. I have played games in Elite, Premier, and NCDC for the Islanders and was fortunate enough to learn how to adapt to each level. This has given me confidence going into next year to hit the ground running.”

Roberts knows he will need to put in many hours of work during the spring and summer to become the best first-year NCAA player that he can be when he arrives at the “St. A” campus later in the summer.

“I am looking forward to improving my speed and decision-making as college hockey is a few steps faster. The quicker you can make a play, the more effective you can be on both ends of the ice

“Playing both a physical and skilled game in college will be challenging, but also important to add to a great Saint Anselm Hawks team,” he said. “My brother graduating as a Captain of the Hawks and an NE-10 record holder for most games played will give me all the motivation to have a great career at Saint Anselm College!”

The USPHL congratulates Dylan Reynolds, his family, the Islanders Hockey Club and Saint Anselm College for his commitment.
