USPHL PREMIER – SOUTHEAST SHOWCASE SCORES
FLORIDA EELS 5, FLORIDA JR. BLADES 1
The Eels scored three first half goals and never looked back, holding the Jr. Blades to just 14 shots on goal. Luca Hobbs and Gino Indelicato each had a goal and assist in the win. Carmen D’Ambrosio, Brady Gedman and Blake Becker also had goals. Rylan Bisel had the lone goal for the Jr. Blades in the first half.
CHARLOTTE RUSH 6, TYPHOON HOCKEY CLUB 1
The Rush were paced by a hat trick from Hunter Kerzner and single tallies by Carson Unger, Ryan Bonfrancesco and Filipp Papshev to this solid win over the Typhoon. Justin Gagnon chipped in with three assists for the Rush. Adam Gorcsakovszky had the goal for the Typhoon.
CORAL SPRINGS JR. CATS 5, CHARLESTON COLONIALS 1
Late goals from Derek Hudson, a power play strike, and Isak Maimfors allowed the Jr. Cats to pull away to a 5-1 win. Kelton Bradshaw also had a second half goal, and Sixten Fraanberg scored twice in the first half for the winners. Hudson added three assists for Coral Springs. Finn Kelly had the goal for Charleston.
CAROLINA JR HURRICANES 3, FLORIDA JR BLADES 2
Down 2-0 late in the first half, the Hurricanes got a goal from Bobby Nabozny right before intermission, and goals from Conor Patton and Will Deis in the second half to rally for the win. A pair of goals 28 seconds apart in the first half from Rylan Bisel had given the Jr. Blades a 2-0 lead.
CHARLOTTE RUSH 2, FLORIDA EELS 0
The Rush earned their second win of the day with an impressive 2-0 shutout against the Eels. Marek Kijonka and Filipp Papshev each scored and Lasse Winther Sorensen had 13 saves in net.
CHARLESTON COLONIALS 8, TYPHOON HOCKEY CLUB 1
The Colonials scored four goals in each of the first and second period to earn the solid 8-1 win. Finnegan Pasko led the way with a pair of goals and Jack Hoar stopped 17 in net.
POTOMAC PATRIOTS 3, CORAL SPRINGS JR. CATS 0
Connor Nieto’s two goals helped propel the Patriots to a 3-0 shutout win. Kayden Suy also scored and Cole Currier stopped all 14 shots he faced.
JERSEY HITMEN CLASSIC SCORES
MONTREAL BLACK VEES 2, JERSEY HITMEN 1
Despite a 38-save performance from Gaetano Piccione, the Black Vees were able to sneak past the Jersey Hitmen, 2-1. Samuel Clement and Olivier Sirois scored 1:08 apart in the first half to provide Montreal’s offense. Aiden Bourne had a late goal for the Hitmen.
PAL ISLANDERS 5, OTTAWA VALLEY CENTENNIALS 0
The Islanders got goals from Aiden Ortiz, Jonathan Gatto, Justin Morrissey, Nicholas Morolla and Robert Engel, and a 16-save shutout from Mick Marlow for the win.
RED BANK GENERALS 9, KINGSTON WARRIORS 0
A hat trick and two assists from Michael Reed led the Generals as they cruised to this win. Cade Anderson added two goals and Andrew Savona chipped in with four assists.
WISCONSIN RAPIDS RIVER KINGS 2, CONNECTICUT JR. RANGERS 0
Felix Ahlstrand and Noa Diamond provided all the offense with goals late in the first half. Daniil Korobeynikov assisted on both tallies and Deaken Shaw stopped all 24 shots he faced.
MONTREAL BLACK VEES 2, NEW JERSEY RENEGADES 1 (SO)
Jordan Janeway put the Renegades on top 1-0 in the first period and Nathan Chevarie evened the score for the Black Vees in the second. The game eventually went into a shootout where the Black Vees earned their second win of the game.
MERCER CHIEFS 9, OTTAWA VALLEY CENTENNIALS 0
A hat trick by Benjamin Smith early paced the Chiefs nine-goal attack in their big win. Carter Wood added a goal and an assist and Rhett Winger chipped in five assists.
HAWKESBURY KNIGHTS 3, P.A.L ISLANDERS 2 (OT)
Zakary Corriveau scored the game-winner in overtime for the Knights to give them the thrilling win. Raphael Lizotte and Cooper Martineau also found the scoresheet for the Knights. Anthony Gervais had 24 big stops in net.
RED BANK GENERALS 12, BEARCAT HOCKEY CLUB 1
Chase Gittens led the offensive attack with a hat trick. Cade Anderson and Kevin Pico also each notched a pair of goals for the Generals.
ST-LAZARE AVALANCHE 4, WESTCHESTER WOLVES 2
The Avalanche doubled up the Wolves with tallies from Oliver Beaulne-Doyan, Anthony Dimopoulos, Caleb Laurie and Charlesetienne Tyan. Aris Arevian had an outstanding game in net with 42 saves.
NON-SHOWCASE GAMES
Metro Jets 8 vs. Battle Creek Kernels 2
The Metro Jets’ offense exploded for eight goals, with Luka Maj Pivec netting two and Jaxon Stone scoring twice as well. Isaac Bunk, Ayden Hartzell, Aidan Charron, and Cory Anderson also tallied. Aj Prioli scored both for the Kernels.
MJDP 5 vs. Fresh Coast Freeze 3
Lucas Benavides-Forte struck twice, including the late insurance goal, to lift MJDP over Fresh Coast. Blake Brackett, Caleb Curto, and Jarrett LaGrow added singles. The Freeze got goals from Charles Huntoon, Emersen Lippert, and Shaun Stevens.
Toledo Cherokee 7 vs. Cincinnati Cyclones 2
Toledo opened with a five-goal first period and never looked back. Hank Davis and Trevin Johnson each scored twice, while Cameron Krause, Eoin Ingersoll, and Jacob Myers added markers. Bradley Backen and Mark Powers scored for Cincinnati.
Minnesota Squatch 8 vs. Minnesota Outlaws 1
The Squatch kept rolling with an 8-1 victory. Jackson Heusinkveld and Grant O’Connor each tallied twice, and Danylo Tsybulskyi, Zachary Nunn, Bennet Prokop, and Jacob BreIwick all added goals.
Seattle Totems 8 vs. McCall Smokejumpers 3
Seattle dominated from the drop, paced by Marius Arnesen’s two-goal night. Paco Mayer-Schuchard, Elias Schneider, Aatu Suontakanen, Max Fullford, Philipp Bieda, and Matiass Grinbergs also scored. Alex Clark had two for McCall, with Lukas Ledl adding one.
Red River Spartans 3 vs. Columbus Mavericks 1
Red River rallied with three unanswered in the third. Julian Niedermann, Jack Treacy, and Sander Korrell provided the scoring after Brian McConahy’s early tally put Columbus ahead.
Calgary Bandits 5 vs. Southern Alberta Mustangs 1
Maksym Onatskyi led the Bandits with two goals and an assist as Calgary downed Southern Alberta. Mattias Wiebe and Erik Freiheit each added a first-period marker. Corwin Waithe had the lone Mustangs goal.
Vernal Oilers 9 vs. Rogue Valley Royals 2
Vernal poured in six second-period goals en route to a 9-2 win. Zach Baumann scored twice, with additional tallies from Cameron Roth, Miroslav Rakicky, Luke Jimenez, Erik Hendricks, Hugo Kolebac, Jack Tidsbury, and Maxmilian Glos. Dalton Ruettgers had both for the Royals.
Ventura Vikings 5 vs. San Diego Sabers 2
Ethan Yang scored twice and added an assist, leading Ventura to victory. Dylan Hazuka, Calvin Ruggiero, and Ryan Gill also found the net. Harris Shular and Nick Ryan scored for San Diego.
Ontario Jr. Reign 11 vs. Lake Tahoe Lakers 2
Ontario erupted for 11 goals, powered by a pair from Brennan Monroe and Evan Tsadilas. Mason Welsh, Mason Geng, Jared Padilla, Brander Lambert, Samuel Delaquis, and Marc Belanger also contributed. Ugnius Simbelis and Evan Hays scored for Lake Tahoe.
