Premier Stars of the Week | Dec. 15-22, 2025
The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Premier has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from December 15-22, 2025. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.
Alberta Division
Forward: Mattais Wiebe – Calgary Bandits: Mattais Wiebe powered Calgary’s offense with a three-goal, four-point week, including a multi-point performance that sparked the Bandits’ attack.
Defenseman: Parker Ma – Southern Alberta Mustangs: Parker Ma contributed offensively while anchoring the blue line, adding a goal and steady two-way presence.
Goaltender: Koy Sutherland – Southern Alberta Mustangs: Koy Sutherland earned his first win of the season thanks to a composed performance in goal, shutting the door in key third-period moments.
Atlantic Division
Forward: Cade Anderson – Red Bank Generals: Cade Anderson continued his high-end production with eight points (5G, 3A), including three power-play goals and a game-winner to help lift Red Bank’s offense.
Defenseman: John Mrotchek – Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights: John Mrotchek exploded for a 10-point week (5G, 5A), leading all Premier defensemen. His five-goal output set the tone for the Knights at both ends of the ice.
Goalie:Ryan Kalina – Red Bank Generals: Ryan Kalina was lights-out, posting a 2-0 record with a .983 save percentage and a 0.50 goals-against average, along with one shutout.
Florida Division
Forward: Gino Indelicato – Florida Eels: Gino Indelicato delivered a massive nine-point week (6G, 3A), highlighted by a pair of power-play goals and two game-winners to pace the Eels’ scoring.
Defenseman: Derrick Pedersen – Florida Eels: Derrick Pedersen added five points from the back end (1G, 4A) while helping stabilize the Eels defensively during a strong divisional weekend.
Goaltender: Konsta Hiltunen – Tampa Bay Juniors: Konsta Hiltunen produced a stellar 1.27 GAA and .967 save percentage in three appearances, stepping up as a major backbone for Tampa Bay.
Great Lakes Division
Forward: Jack Treacy – Red River Spartans: A dominant three-game stretch saw Jack Treacy rack up nine points (5G, 4A), including multiple high-impact performances driving the Spartans’ offense.
Defenseman: Jake Hayward – Red River Spartans: Jake Hayward added six points (2G, 4A) from the blue line and played heavy minutes in all situations for Red River.
Goaltender: Jonah Little – Columbus Mavericks: Jonah Little delivered a poised performance between the pipes, stopping 30 of 32 shots for a 93.75 save percentage and a 2.00 GAA in a winning appearance.
Midwest Division
Forward: Bogdan Vysotsky – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Bogdan Vysotsky posted a six-point week (3G, 3A), recording a power-play goal and driving Fort Wayne’s attack in both wins.
Defenseman: Antoine Bonin – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Antoine Bonin contributed five assists in two games, quarterbacking the transition game and setting up key scoring plays.
Goaltender: Aidan Wysoglad – Chicago Cougars: Aidan Wysoglad stood tall with a 1-0 record and a strong overall showing highlighted by timely saves and a consistent presence in net.
New England Division
Forward: Shu Kawaguchi – Utica Jr. Comets: Kawaguchi delivered a standout week with 7 points, helping Utica push through a tight divisional slate.
Defenseman: Max Fleming – South Shore Kings: Max Fleming showed excellent two-way control, providing offensive support with 1 goal and 3 assists.
Goaltender: Trevor Walmsley – South Shore Kings: Walmsley turned in a rock-solid week for the Kings, going 2–0 while stopping 39 of 43 shots for a .907 save percentage and 1.50 goals-against average. He delivered timely saves in both outings, keeping games under control and giving South Shore the stability they needed to secure back-to-back victories.
North Division
Forward: Preston Lundbohm – Northwest Express: Preston Lundbohm was one of the league’s most productive players this week, registering 11 points (3G, 8A) and serving as an offensive catalyst every night.
Defenseman: Olivier Bolduc – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Olivier Bolduc contributed two assists while playing tough defensive minutes, giving the Wisconsin reliable blue-line stability.
Goaltender: Jackson Gruttadauria – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Jackson Gruttadauria posted a perfect performance, turning aside all 43 shots he faced for a 43-save shutout.
Northwest Division
Forward: Logan Powers – Vernal Oilers: Logan Powers led Seattle’s offense with consistent production and play-driving efforts, delivering 5 points with 1 goal and 4 assists over 3 games.
Defenseman: Colin Sharp – McCall Smokejumpers: Colin Sharp provided two points (1G, 1A) from the blue line and contributed key special-teams support.
Goaltender: Noah Pfab – Vernal Oilers: Pfab delivered an outstanding week in net for Bremerton, going a perfect 3–0 while allowing just three goals across three appearances. He stopped 45 of 48 shots, finishing the week with a .938 save percentage and providing steady, confident goaltending throughout.
Pacific Division
Forward: Ethan Yang – Ventura Vikings: Ethan Yang put up one of the highest scoring totals in the league this week with 13 points (4G, 9A), including two power-play markers.
Defenseman: Griffin Gagnon – Ventura Vikings: Griffin Gagnon tallied eight points (1G, 7A) and handled major minutes to help steer the Vikings to a successful week.
Goaltender: Christian Hubert – Henderson Force: Christian Hubert turned in a flawless outing with a 1.000 save percentage and a perfect goals-against average, earning a shutout victory.
Southeast Division
Forward: Filipp Papshev – Charlotte Rush: With 11 points (5G, 6A), Papshev was one of the league’s most dangerous offensive producers, adding two power-play goals and two game-winners.
Defenseman: Trevor Riggs – Potomac Patriots: Trevor Riggs registered seven points (1G, 6A) while controlling the blue line and excelling in transition play.
Goaltender: Declan Sweeney – Potomac Patriots: Declan Sweeney turned in an elite week with a 3-0 record, a .982 save percentage, and a 0.40 GAA—one of the best goaltending showings of the season so far.
