Premier SOTW

The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Premier has announced its Division Stars of the Week, recognizing standout performances from across the league during the week of Feb. 23 – March 1, 2026. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.

 

ALBERTA DIVISION

Forward: Tyson Tozer – Southern Alberta Mustangs: Tyson Tozer earns Alberta honors for Southern Alberta after posting 3 points (1G, 2A) over the week. 

Defenseman: Taydon Perkins – Southern Alberta Mustangs: Taydon Perkins anchored the Mustangs’ blue line with a steady two-way week, providing 2 assists, a +4 rating and 9 hits. 

Goalie: Koy Sutherland – Southern Alberta Mustangs: Koi Sutherland delivered the goaltending result that earned him the nod for Southern Alberta after a 23 shutout performance. 

 

ATLANTIC DIVISION

Forward: Ilya Kornoushenko – Red Bank Generals: Ilya Kornoushenko posted 8 points (3G, 5A) in 3 games, including 2 power-play goals, to power Red Bank’s offense during the week.

Defenseman: Adam Zaremba – Connecticut Jr. Rangers: Zaremba had a big week from the back end with 4 points (3G, 1A) in 2 games, providing consistent offense from the blue line.

Goalie: Peter Burke – West Chester Wolves: West Chester’s Peter Burke posted a 15 shot shutout over the week. 

 

FLORIDA DIVISION

Forward: Derek Hudson – Coral Springs Jr. Cats: Derek Hudson recorded 5 points (2G, 3A) in 3 games, including a game-winning goal, as Coral Springs put together another productive week.

Defenseman: Albin Lindberg – Coral Springs Jr. Cats: Albin Lindberg contributed 3 assists in 3 games from the blue line, helping keep Coral Springs moving the puck and generating offense.

Goalie: Evan Stringer – Coral Springs Jr. Cats: Evan Stringer earned the win in his appearance, going 1-0-0 while facing 36 shots, making 31 saves.

 

GREAT LAKES DIVISION

Forward: Derek Johnson – Bearcat Junior Hockey Club: Johnson put up 6 points (3G, 3A) in 2 games, including a power-play goal, to lead the Bearcat offense for the week.

Defenseman: Thomas Astley – Columbus Mavericks: Thomas Astley chipped in offensively with 1 assist in 2 games, helping Columbus from the back end.

Goalie: Elliott Hartwick – Columbus Mavericks: Hartwick went 2-0-0 in 120:00, facing 55 shots and making 49 saves.

 

MIDWEST DIVISION

Forward: Nikita Volobuiev – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Nikita dished out 5 assists over 2 games for the Spacemen. 

Defenseman: Antoine Bonin – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Antoine Bonin netted 2 goals in his lone showing over the week. 

Goalie: Jack Allivato – Chicago Crush: Jack Allivato stopped 62 of 68 shots for a .911 SV% and 2.95 GAA. 

 

NEW ENGLAND DIVISION

Forward: Artem Borisov – Northern Cyclones: Artem Borisov recorded 6 points (3G, 3A) in 3 games, including 2 power-play goals, to pace the Cyclones offensively.

Defenseman: Owen Kneeland – Northern Cyclones: Owen Kneeland produced from the back end with 5 assists in 3 games, driving offense and possession from the blue line.

Goalie: Derek Sparks – Northern Cyclones: Derek Sparks went 2-0-0 with a .957 SV% and 1.09 GAA, turning aside 45 of 47 shots in 110 minutes.

 

NORTH DIVISION

Forward: Sebastian Redfern – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Sebastian Redfern was dominant over two games, posting 7 points (4G, 3A) with a power-play goal and a game-winning goal.

Defenseman: Ethan Dresel – Minnesota Mullets: Ethan Dresel recorded 2 assists in 3 games while providing steady minutes from the Mullets’ blue line.

Goalie: Jackson Gruttadauria – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Jackson Gruttadauria went 2-0-0 with a .925 SV% and 2.00 GAA, making 49 saves on 53 shots in 120:00.

 

NORTHWEST DIVISION

Forward: Max Enge-Kristiansen  – Vernal Oilers: Max Enge-Kristiansen tallied 4 points over 3 games with 3 goals and 1 assist. 

Defenseman: Jordan Trakosas – Vernal Oilers: Jordan Trakosas lit up the scoresheet with 9 points over 3 games which included 1 goal and 8 assists. 

Goalie: Matej Hronsky – Seattle Totems: Matej Hronsky was excellent, going 2-0-0 with a .983 SV% and 0.50 GAA, stopping 59 of 60 shots and earning 1 shutout.

 

PACIFIC DIVISION

Forward: William Lindgren – Fresno Monsters: William Lindgren posted 8 points (4G, 4A) in 3 games, leading Fresno’s offense throughout the week.

Defenseman: Alec Boucher – Ontario Jr. Reign: Alex Boucher recorded 3 assists in 2 games, helping generate offense from the Ontario blue line.

Goalie: Niksa Slade – Fresno Monsters: Niksa Slade went 2-0-0 with a .938 SV% and 2.00 GAA, making 60 saves on 64 shots in 120:00.

 

SOUTHEAST DIVISION

Forward: Carson Young – Charlotte Rush: Carson Young recorded 5 points (2G, 3A) in 2 games, including a power-play goal and a game-winning goal.

Defenseman: Trevor Riggs – Potomac Patriots: Trevor Riggs added 2 assists in 2 games from the Potomac blue line.
