The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is proud to announce the addition of the Ravens Hockey Academy to the league, further expanding the league’s presence within one of the world’s premier hockey regions.
The Ravens Hockey Academy will be based in Deux-Montagnes, Que., located approximately 30 kilometers outside of Montreal, and will bring a strong focus on player development, advancement, and community identity to the USPHL.
“The USPHL represents an excellent opportunity for our Academy to continue elevating its player development model while providing our athletes with greater exposure and advancement opportunities,” said Ravens Hockey Academy owner and president Dom Marsico. “The league’s structure, level of competition, and strong connections to higher levels of hockey align perfectly with the direction we want to take as an organization.
“Our goal has always been to create an environment where players can maximize their potential both on and off the ice, and the USPHL provides a proven platform to help make that happen. We believe this move is an important step in building a sustainable pathway for players aspiring to advance to collegiate, junior, and professional hockey opportunities.”
The addition of the Ravens Hockey Academy continues the USPHL’s growth throughout Canada while strengthening its developmental footprint in the greater Montreal area, a region long known for producing top hockey talent.
“It’s extremely important for us to proudly represent Deux-Montagnes and the greater Montreal area within the USPHL,” Marsico said. “The Montreal region has long been recognized as one of the strongest hockey markets in the world, producing talented and passionate players year after year.
“We want the Ravens to become a source of pride for our community while giving local athletes an opportunity to compete at a high level closer to home. At the same time, we aim to showcase the character, passion, and hockey culture that make this region so special.”
The Ravens Hockey Academy says its organizational philosophy will focus on accountability, player development, and preparing athletes for future advancement opportunities.
“Players can expect a professional, demanding, and supportive environment centered around accountability, development, and personal growth,” Marsico said. “Our coaching staff is committed to building strong relationships with players while maintaining high standards both on and off the ice.
“We want to develop complete athletes, not only better hockey players, but also strong teammates, leaders, and individuals prepared for the next stage of their careers. Most importantly, we want players to be part of a culture where hard work, discipline, and commitment are valued every single day.”
As the organization prepares for its inaugural USPHL season, the Ravens Hockey Academy hopes to establish itself as one of the region’s premier development programs while helping players advance to higher levels of hockey.
“Our long-term vision is to establish the Ravens Hockey Academy as one of the premier development programs in the region and a respected organization within the USPHL,” Marsico said. “Success for us goes beyond wins and losses, it’s about helping players advance to higher levels while building a program that is stable, respected, and deeply connected to its community. We want players to be proud to be part of this Academy and proud to wear the Ravens logo.”
