The 2026-27 USPHL Premier season kicked off over the weekend with nine games across the league. Here’s a look back at the opening weekend action.
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 18
West Chester Wolves 11, Connecticut Junior Rangers 1
West Chester scored three times in the opening period and erupted for six in the second en route to an 11-1 victory. Robert Wahl Jr. scored twice, while nine other Wolves found the net. Jackson Schott scored Connecticut’s lone goal.
Salt Lake Ghost Riders 6, Bremerton Sockeyes 2
Salt Lake raced out to a 4-1 first-period lead and defeated Bremerton, 6-2. Six different players scored for the Ghost Riders, while Marius Arnesen and Logan Mese provided the Sockeyes’ goals.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 19
West Chester Wolves 6, CJR 2
Robert Wahl Jr. recorded a hat trick as West Chester scored five times in the first period and earned a 6-2 win. Logan Rohan, James Caldwell-Withrow and Nolan Wilson also scored for the Wolves.
P.A.L. Junior Islanders 10, New Jersey Renegades 1
Ciaran Pollard and Alessandro Fontana Ros each recorded hat tricks as P.A.L. defeated New Jersey, 10-1. Alex Labos added two goals, while Christian Hammer and Elliott Weiss also scored.
Bremerton Sockeyes 6, Salt Lake Ghost Riders 2
Marius Arnesen completed a hat trick as Bremerton answered back with a 6-2 victory over Salt Lake. Garrett Waterhouse scored twice and William Allen added a goal for the Sockeyes.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 20
Salt Lake Ghost Riders 9, Bremerton Sockeyes 6
Salt Lake prevailed in a high-scoring 9-6 battle to take two of three games in the weekend series. Mathis Eichenholc, Vincenzo Michael Sanico Potvin and Ryder O’Connell each scored twice. Marius Arnesen recorded his second consecutive hat trick for Bremerton.
Rockets Hockey Club 9, Connecticut Junior Rangers 1
Daniel Novoselov recorded a hat trick and the Rockets generated 64 shots in a 9-1 victory. Donato Oricchio Jr. scored twice, while Dominic Powell supplied Connecticut’s goal.
Columbus Mavericks 9, Cincinnati Cyclones 0
Columbus scored six times in the third period to finish off a 9-0 victory over Cincinnati. Emmet Martin and Jakub Vesely each scored twice as nine Mavericks goals came from seven different players.
Long Beach Bombers 4, Santa Clarita Lakers 1
Adam Zadrapa scored twice as Long Beach earned a 4-1 victory over Santa Clarita. Marcus Vargas and Ethan Barela also found the net for the Bombers, while Jake Boland scored for the Lakers.
