USPHL Premier October Stars of the Month

The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) Premier has announced its October Stars of the Month, recognizing standout performances from the month. Only players nominated by their teams were eligible for consideration.

 

Atlantic

Forward: Kevin Pico – Red Bank Generals: Generals forward Kevin Pico totalled 19 points over the month of October scoring 4 goals and adding 15 assists. 

 

Defenseman: Ryunosuke Shirozu – West Chester Wolves: West Chester defenseman Ryunosuke Shirozu posted 14 points as the blue-liner netted 7 goals and dished out 7 assists. 

 

Goalie: Preston Baker – Wilkes/Barre Scranton Knights: Knights netminder Preston Baker was fantastic in net during October. Baker had a 3-1 record, with 2 shutouts (20 shots each game) only allowed 4 goals on 118 shots which was good for a .953 SV% and a 2.50 GAA. 

 

Florida

Forward: Reilly Faucher – Tampa Bay Juniors: Tampa forward Reilly Faucher put up big numbers in October, totalling 13 points. The forward scored 8 goals and had 5 assists over 8 games. 

 

Defenseman: Jaxson Clark – Tampa Bay Juniors: Tampa defenseman Jaxon Clark played a fantastic two-way game over October. Over the 8 games he played last month, Clark added 5 assists. 

 

Goalie: Ayden Bednarek – Tampa Bay Juniors: Tampa Bay netminder Ayden Bednarek posted a perfect 4-0 record in October, which was good for a .952 SV%. 

 

Great Lakes

Forward: Trevin Johnson – Toledo Cherokee: Toledo forward Trevin Johnson put up astonishing numbers in October. Johnson netted 15 goals and handed out 7 assists for 22 points. 

 

Defenseman: Jake Taylor – Metro Jets: Defenseman Jake Taylor appeared in 8 games in October and totalled 14 points with 2 goals and 12 assists. 

 

Goalie: Daxton Lucidi – Toledo Cherokee: Daxton Lucidi went 4-1 in October and totalled a 1.60 GAA and a .950 SV%. 

 

Midwest

Forward: Bogdan Vysotsky – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Bogdan Vysotsky totalled 16 points over the month of October with 8 goals and 8 assists. 

 

Defenseman: Antonie Bonin – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Spacemen defenseman Antoine Bonin combined for 8 points in October. Bonin posted 4 goals and 4 assists while maintaining a +17 on the month. 

 

Goalie: Sumner Wood – Fort Wayne Spacemen: Spacemen goaltender Sumner Wood earned a 4-1 record in October. Wood’s performance was good for a .890 SV% and a 3.2 GAA after stopping 130 of 146 shots. 

 

New England

Forward: Fyodor Tarasov – Worcester Railers JHC: Railers forward Fyodor Tarasov combined for 10 points over 7 games in October. Tarasov netted both 5 goals and assists. 

 

Defenseman: Sean Pollex  – South Shore Kings: Sean Pollex appeared in 9 games over October and totalled 2 goals. 

 

Goalie: Andrew Craig – Islanders Hockey Club: Andrew Craig was perfect for the Islanders going 2-0 in October. Craig recorded a .978 SV% and posted a shutout on the month. 

 

North

Forward: Noa Diamond – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Noa Diamond shined in the month of October where he added 26 points to his resume. Diamond scored 10 goals and added 16 assists. 

 

Defenseman: Olivier Bolduc – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Wisconsin defenseman Olivier Bolduc posted 15 points in October. Bolduc added 6 goals and 9 assists. 

 

Goalie: Deaken Shaw – Wisconsin Rapids Riverkings: Wisconsin netminder Deaken Shaw finished October with a 7-1 record with one shutout. His performance was good for a 2.15 GAA and a .935 SV%. 

 

Northwest

Forward: Aatu Suontakanen – Seattle Totems: Aatu Suontakanen posted 36 points over 12 games in October. Suontakanen added 14 goals and 22 assists. 

 

Defenseman: Mason Rizik – Seattle Totems: Mason Rizik totalled 11 points in six games over October with 4 goals and 7 assists. 

 

Goalie: Matej Hronsky – Seattle Totems: Totems netminder Matej Hronsky finished the month of October with a 8-1-1 record with a .918 SV% and a 2.39 GAA. 

 

Pacific

Forward: Brian Erte – Fresno Monsters: Brian Erte posted 28 points over 9 games during the month of October. Erte added 8 goals and handed out 20 assists. 

 

Defenseman: Riku Permi – Henderson Force: Force defenseman Riku Permi totalled 13 points over 10 games. During October, Permi scored 6 goals and 7 assists. 

 

Goalie: Noah Hamarstrom – Fresno Monsters: Monsters goaltender Noah Hammarstrom went 5-0 in October. His performance was good for a .982 SV% while he also added 3 shutout wins. 

 

Southeast

Forward: Filipp Papshev – Charlotte Rush: Rush forward Filipp Papshev was fantastic in October, recording 15 points. Over 9 games played, Papshev added 11 goals and 4 assists. 

 

Defenseman: Jacob McCormack – Hampton Roads Whalers: Whalers defenseman Jacob McCormack totalled 5 points over 7 games played in October. McCormack added 1 goal and 4 assists. 

 

Goalie: Felix Tolke – Hampton Roads Whalers: Whalers goaltender Felix Tolke was perfect going 5-0 in October. Tolke posted a 1.60 GAA and a .953 SV%. 

 

St. Lawrence

Forward: Bryan Wendijk – Somang Hockey: Bryan Wendijk was great for Somang as he combined for 13 points (5 goals and 7 assists) over 7 games played in October. 

 

Defenseman: Ashtyn Catlin – NY Dynamo: New York Dynamo defenseman Ashtyn Caitlin totalled 5 points with 4 goals and 1 assists over 6 games played in October.

 

Goalie: Anthony Gervais – Hawkesbury Knights: Hawkesbury goaltender Anthony Gervais was great in October, posting a 4-1 record. Gervais recorded a 2.10 GAA and a .927 SV%.
