The USPHL Premier has named P.A.L. Jr. Islanders forward Ciaran Pollard its Performance Player of the Week for games played Sept. 28-Oct. 4, 2026. Selected by the league’s media voting panel, Pollard will receive $500 through the USPHL’s Performance Pays program.

Pollard scored five goals and added nine assists for 14 points in four games, averaging 3.5 points per game. The West Islip, N.Y., native recorded a goal and multiple points in every appearance during the award week.

He opened with a four-point performance against the St-Lazare Avalanche on Oct. 2, collecting one goal and three assists. On Oct. 3, he recorded a goal and an assist in each matchup against the Hudson Knights and Universel Collège Gatineau. Pollard capped the week with two goals and four assists for six points against the Ottawa Valley Centennials on Oct. 4.

“Ciaran had himself a great week,” Head Coach Frank DiChiara said. “From the drop of the puck he was committed to playing a 200 foot game in all areas of the ice. He plays in every situation, and has been a big part of our team’s early success. He leads by example and shows up to the rink everyday wanting to get better. He’s been a pleasure to coach so far and I am excited to continue to watch him grow as both a player and a young man”

His consistent production as both a scorer and playmaker earned him the league’s weekly recognition, highlighted by nine assists across the four games. So far this season, Pollard has recorded 20 points (8 G, 12 A) over 6 games.

The Performance Player of the Week award recognizes one USPHL Premier player each week, regardless of position or division, through a vote by the league’s media panel. It is separate from the League Office’s Stars of the Week selections, which recognize a forward, defenseman and goaltender from each division and do not include a cash award.

Performance Pays continues in 2026–27, with the USPHL Premier program providing $500 weekly awards over 20 weeks. The initiative also rewards championship success, season award recipients and standout postseason performers.
