Jersey Hitmen Name Jim Henkel Director of Player Personnel

The Jersey Hitmen have named former NCDC head coach and general manager Jim Henkel their director of player personnel, effective immediately, team president Jim Hunt announced.

Henkel played NCAA Division I hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute before beginning his professional career. He was part of the Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies’ 2003 ECHL Kelly Cup championship team. He currently serves as a senior recruiting coach for NCSA, helping families navigate the junior and NCAA recruiting process.

“I have known Jim and his family for over 25 years,” Hunt said. “I know the stock he comes from and admire his accomplishments as both a player and a coach. Jim has an incredible passion for the game and understands the challenges and demands of player development in the modern era. He is a student of the game and has gained tremendous experience during his professional career. We are incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to add Jim to our staff.”
