South Shore extended the 2026 Dineen Cup Final with a 3-1 victory over Grand Junction in Game 1 at the Mountain America Center.
The Kings opened the scoring in the first period on a goal from Jake Kavanagh, before Rayne Walsh answered for Grand Junction later in the frame to even the game at 1-1.
South Shore regained the lead in the second period as Corwith Simmers found the back of the net, and they added an insurance marker early in the third from Brendan Keaveney to seal the win.
Patrick Muller stopped 21 of the 22 shots he faced.
With the victory, South Shore forces a decisive Game 2 to determine the 2026 Dineen Cup Champion
