NCDC Conference Standouts | Sept. 28–Oct. 4, 2026
The National Collegiate Development Conference is proud to recognize its Conference Standouts for the week of Sept. 28 through Oct. 4. One forward, defenseman and goaltender was selected from each of the league’s seven conferences
Atlantic Conference
Forward: Albin Andersson, West Chester Wolves — 3 GP, 4-1-5
Andersson scored four goals and added an assist, including a game-winning goal, during his five-point week for West Chester. “Albin had a tremendous weekend for our group,” Head Coach and GM R.C. Lyke said. “He logged big minutes in all situations for our team especially on the pk and pp. He continues to prove why he is one of the top forwards in our division and league every game.”
Defenseman: Will Henderson, P.A.L. Junior Islanders — 3 GP, 3-2-5
Henderson led Atlantic Conference defensemen with three goals and five points in three games. P.A.L. Head Coach Mike Marcou called Henderson’s performance “outstanding” and recognized him as one of the Junior Islanders’ biggest contributors.
Goaltender: Max Roennqvist, West Chester Wolves — 1 GP, 1-0-0, 1.000 SV%, 0.00 GAA, 1 SO
Roennqvist stopped all 27 shots he faced to earn a shutout in his first junior victory. “Max has been has really been putting in the work this summer and in preseason,”Head Coach and GM R.C. Lyke said. “His adjustment to the North American style of play is starting to come very quickly and the results are showing on the ice. Max was excellent in the Mercer game with his rebound control and puck management. His game is just starting to reach his potential and we are excited to watch him continue to grow this season with our team.”
Honorable mentions: Artur Ovsepian (P.A.L. Jr. Islanders); Pal Sodervall (West Chester Wolves); Christopher Dean (Jersey Hitmen).
Colonial Conference
Forward: Cade Anderson, Red Bank Generals — 3 GP, 2-6-8
Anderson led the Colonial Conference with eight points and finished the week with a plus-nine rating. “Cade Anderson is our captain and the heartbeat of this team,” Head Coach Jack Callahan said. “Cade is a stud.”
Defenseman: Ryan Logan, Connecticut Chiefs — 3 GP, 0-6-6
Logan generated six assists from the blue line, including three on the power play, to lead all Colonial Conference defensemen.
Goaltender: Spencer Shober, Utica Jr. Comets — 1 GP, .975 SV%, 2.00 GAA
Shober faced an extraordinary 80 shots during his 65-minute appearance and stopped 78 of them.
Honorable mentions: Adam Botlo and John Christina (Springfield Pics); Thomas Pisano, Max Richler and Steven Louiselle (New York Dynamo); Noah Trempe and Félix Maltais (Vermont Universel); Kirill Gurev (Red Bank Generals).
Metropolitan Conference
Forward: Austin Westergaard, Boston Junior Terriers — 3 GP, 2-2-4
Westergaard recorded two goals and two assists, including a game-winning goal and two power-play points. “Austin has been a big producer for us to start the season,” Head Coach Cody Gonyeau said.
Defenseman: Andrew Jensen, South Shore Kings — 1 GP, 1-3-4
Jensen recorded a goal and three assists while helping South Shore’s power play finish four-for-five. “Jensen was so dynamic on the power play,” Head Coach Tyler Holske said. “Five-on-five, he transported pucks out of the defensive zone and was getting up in the rush.”
Goaltender: Jasper Brophy, Northern Cyclones — 2 GP, 2-0-0, .962 SV%, 1.00 GAA, 1 SO
Brophy won both of his appearances, stopping 50 of 52 shots and recording a shutout for the Cyclones.
Honorable mentions: Will O’Donovan and Brady Knode (South Shore Kings); Tyler Brandl and Michael Karo (Boston Jr. Terriers)
Midwest Conference
Forward: Jan Sebastien Vancura, Columbus Mavericks — 3 GP, 4-3-7
Vancura scored four goals and added three assists to finish tied for the conference scoring lead. “Jan is an important veteran piece to our group who led the way,” Head Coach Kyle Althen said. “I look forward to seeing his skill and physicality continue to grow and be used every night for us.”
Defenseman: Lukas Marek, Columbus Mavericks — 3 GP, 2-5-7
Marek produced two goals and five assists, matching the highest point total recorded by any Midwest Conference skater during the week.
Goaltender: Kiryl Zamana, Chicago Union — 2 GP, 2-0-0, .982 SV%, 0.50 GAA, 1 SO
Zamana stopped 56 of the 57 shots he faced and recorded a shutout during his perfect 2-0 week.
Honorable mentions: Nicholas Carls, Carson Wendorff and Davin Ellis (Hudson Havoc); Ethan Zuvela and Gino Texter (Columbus Mavericks).
Northeast Conference
Forward: Sviatoslav Zharikov, Woodstock Warriors — 3 GP, 2-5-7
Zharikov led Northeast Conference skaters with seven points despite being a 2010-born player. “Zharikov scored some big goals for us, especially against St. Stephen,” Head Coach Jason Tatarnic said. “He has a great skill set, and we believe he will be a key offensive contributor for us.”
Defenseman: Mathius Sprickman, Woodstock Warriors — 3 GP, 1-3-4
Sprickman contributed one goal and three assists to finish tied for the scoring lead among Northeast Conference defensemen.
Goaltender: Gabriel Rieder, Montreal Black Vees — 2 GP, 1-1-0, .966 SV%, 1.00 GAA, 1 SO
Rieder stopped 57 of 59 shots and recorded a shutout across two strong appearances. “He was instrumental in helping the Vees win their first game against Thunder,” Head Coach Claude Fortin said.

South Conference
Forward: Filip Olof Marklund, Florida Junior Blades — 1 GP, 2-2-4
Marklund played a role in four goals during an explosive four-point performance for the Junior Blades. “Marklund was a horse on the power play and really pushed the pace of play offensively for our group,” Head Coach Noah Wild said.
Defenseman: Bradan Conroy, Potomac Patriots — 2 GP, 1-3-4
Conroy recorded four points, including a three-point game, two power-play assists and a game-winning goal. Potomac Head Coach Alex Grose described Conroy as “one of the fastest and smoothest puck-moving defensemen in the division this year.”
Goaltender: Lionel Gautschi, Potomac Patriots — 1 GP, 1-0-0, .955 SV%, 2.00 GAA
Gautschi stopped 42 of 44 shots to earn a victory for the Patriots. “Lionel was awesome in Saturday’s win,” Grose said. “Using his athletic ability and compete level at just 5-foot-7, he was dynamic.”
Honorable mentions: Frol Luksha, Oliver Croft-Matthewman and Koen Webber (Typhoon Hockey Club); Carson Updike and Landon D’Angelo (Florida Jr. Blades); Hunter Kerzner, Patrick Sweeney and Luke Rosenberg (Charlotte Rush); Henry Miller (Yorktown Admirals); Luka Torma, Eetu Vuorinen and Anton Widas (Tampa Bay Juniors); Jonathan Ozdemir (Potomac Patriots); Cameron Stehle, Adriano Bongiorno and Henri Varsamaki (Carolina Jr. Hurricanes); Linus Gustafsson and Lasse Winther Sorensen (Hampton Roads Whalers).
West Conference
Forward: Erick Bachtle, Park City Outliers – 1 GP, 4-1-5
Bachtle was outstanding in a one game tilt against Ventura where he posted 4 goals and dished out an assist for 5 points.
Defenseman: Sean Pollock, Casper Warbirds — 2 GP, 0-3-3
Pollock registered three assists in two games, leading all West Conference defensemen with a 1.50 points-per-game average.
Goaltender: James Tarabocchia, Casper Warbirds — 2 GP, 2-0-0, .951 SV%, 2.00 GAA
Tarabocchia stopped 78 of 82 shots while backstopping Casper to two road victories over the Vernal Oilers. “He kept us in control every night and gave our team the confidence to play aggressively,” Head Coach Slava Alekseev said. “We’re proud of how he competed.”
Honorable mentions: Mason McCullough (Casper Warbirds); Chase Harrington, Baron Tanton and Aidan Finn (Lake Tahoe Lakers); Elmer Grenholm, Julian Schwartz and Viktor Pasztor (Fresno Monsters).
About the Weekly Awards: Conference Standouts recognizes a forward, defenseman and goaltender from each NCDC conference. These honors do not include a cash award. The Performance Player of the Week is a separate award selected by a voting panel, recognizing one player across each league, regardless of position, with a $1,000 award in the NCDC. A Conference Standout selection does not automatically receive the Performance Player of the Week award.
