NCDC Final Buzzer: Tight Finishes Reshape Conference Races | Oct. 2-4, 2026
Twenty-two one-goal games, 11 overtime or shootout decisions and several major standings moves defined the Oct. 2-4 weekend.
The NCDC packed plenty of drama into its 54-game weekend.
Twenty-two games were decided by one goal, including 11 that went beyond regulation. The league produced 385 goals, two shutouts, a comeback from three goals down and several results that changed the early shape of conference and division races.
Red Bank swept the Colonial-leading Springfield Pics and climbed two positions. Northern won twice to remain perfect atop the Metropolitan Conference. Woodstock took control of the Northeast, while Casper jumped from fifth to third in the Mountain Division.
The weekend also included four goals from Park City’s Erick Bachtle, a 15-goal performance by the New York Dynamo and a tying goal with 29.8 seconds remaining before Hampton Roads won in overtime.
