NCDC Performance Player of the Week: Kiryl Zamana – Chicago Union

Sept 28 - Oct 4 web

The NCDC has named Chicago Union goaltender Kiryl Zamana its Performance Player of the Week for games played Sept. 28–Oct. 4, 2026. Selected by the league’s media voting panel, Zamana will receive $1,000 through the league’s Performance Pays program.

Zamana earned two wins in two appearances, stopping 56 of 57 shots for a .982 save percentage and a 0.50 goals-against average. He recorded one shutout and allowed just one goal across 120 minutes of play.

The Chicago netminder faced an average of 28.5 shots per game, providing steady protection in goal throughout both victories. His shutout, paired with a one-goal performance in his other appearance, capped an outstanding week for the Union.

The Grodno, Belarus, native has opened the 2026–27 season with three wins in three appearances, posting a 1.33 goals-against average, a .956 save percentage and one shutout through Oct. 4. Zamana has allowed just four goals during that stretch, giving Chicago a strong start in net.

The Performance Player of the Week award recognizes one NCDC player each week, regardless of position or conference, through a vote by the league’s media panel. It is separate from the League Office’s Stars of the Week selections, which recognize a forward, defenseman and goaltender from each conference and do not include a cash award.

Performance Pays continues in 2026–27, with the NCDC program providing $1,000 weekly awards over 25 weeks. The initiative also rewards championship success, season award recipients and standout postseason performers.
