Unfinished Business: Jersey Hitmen’s David Ambuhl 

The National Collegiate Development Conference’s Unfinished Business series highlights returning veterans who are back to lead, continue their development and pursue goals still within reach. Whether it’s a Dineen Cup championship, a college commitment or another opportunity to prove themselves, these players return to the NCDC with unfinished business.

One of those players is Jersey Hitmen forward David Ambuhl, who returns for his second NCDC season after an outstanding rookie campaign. The 2025-26 Atlantic Division Rookie of the Year finished the regular season with 15 goals and 35 assists for 50 points in 44 games, then added six points (one goal, five assists) in six playoff contests to cap an impressive first year.

Now entering his second season with the Hitmen, Ambuhl is expected to take on an even bigger role as one of the team’s top forwards while serving as captain. Head Coach Toby Harris believes the talented forward is poised for another outstanding season as he continues to attract attention from college programs.

“David is a relentless offensive talent and competitor,” said Harris. “He plays with a fire in his belly and his teammates feed off his energy and fervor. We will look to him this season to pick up where he left off last season. The 2025-26 Atlantic Rookie of the Year is poised to have another amazing campaign and will have a tough decision to make as many colleges have already come calling.”

After a breakout rookie season, Ambuhl returns to the Hitmen looking to build on his success while continuing to develop as one of the NCDC’s top returning forwards during the 2026-27 campaign.
