Ryan Donato

Ryan Donato joined the South Shore Kings in the USPHL Premier Conference in 2014-15, playing between the Kings and the Dexter Southfield School that season. He scored 10 points in 13 games with the Kings when the USPHL Premier was the league’s top-tier conference, prior to the creation of the NCDC in 2017.

Donato moved on to play for Harvard University between 2015-18, during which he was an Ivy League Player Of The Year and a Hobey Baker Award Finalist. He was also named to the 2018 U.S. Olympic Men’s Hockey Team, leading the Olympics in goals with five for a 5-1-6 line in five games. After his Olympic and NCAA season, he signed with the Boston Bruins, who had drafted him in 2014. He played for the Bruins during the 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons, being traded in the latter season to the Minnesota Wild.

He spent one full season in 2019-20 with the Wild, hit the ice for the San Jose Sharks in 2020-21, and has since played two seasons with the Seattle Kraken and the Chicago Blackhawks. He has 227 points in 483 career regular season games, and he’s also played in 16 playoff games, including a deep run with the Kraken in 2022-23.
